Valcour was selected because they're in one of the RV programs that shares their parking lot for overnight parking. So now I can have a beer or two and not have to be concerned about driving. Fabulous! As for the location, the historical marker on the outside of this amazing building reads, "Old Stone Barracks. This building was built in 1838. The oldest structure on the base, stands as a witness to many events significant in American military history. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, February 18, 1971." On a Saturday night, they were not very busy. I was immediately seated inside (air conditioning!) and a helpful waitress took my order. I spent the rest of the evening sipping beer, people watching, writing Yelp reviews. I also managed to consume some (extremely hot!) fried pickle spears. Overnight parking was quiet enough and very level. This was a very pleasant stop and I will definitely return when I am back in Plattsburgh!

What an interesting and unique unsuspecting spot in Plattsburgh. The building has a charm to it that makes you feel like you're in a Hallmark wedding movie in the Adirondacks. When I walked in it was clear that this was the place to be at lunchtime on a Saturday. It was busy inside and out and it took me a while to get a drink. I wish the bartender had just acknowledged I was there - he moved around and didn't even look at me. Eventually he served me and the beer was good. Then I sat in the corner and took it all in. He was super attentive after that and helpful. He stopped by multiple times to make sure I was content.

I have loved every beer I've tried here, but recently the food has not been up to par. My boyfriend and I stopped in and got the soup of the day which was great and the 1838 sandwich which was mid, but the biggest disappointment was the to go bacon chicken ranch flatbread we got. The bottom was burnt to a crisp and was inedible and we didn't look to make sure everything was okay until we got home. In my past visit my mom had a similar issue with the bread on her sandwich as well as how long each course took to come out.

We made reservations. I recommend you do the same. It is a very busy place and you could wait a little bit. If you are just going to sit at the bar. From what I observed,. No wait time there. The parking is certainly not enough. Has ramps for wheelchairs and handicap. Their beer is very good. I drank Mulligan's Porter and ol Danny boy stout. Both brewed there and they were both great. Great selection of their craft beer on tap. FANTASTIC..

The staff is freindly and assistive. There were 7 in our group. There was a lot people.in the place and our waiter was very attentive. We had a group of people on the side of us that gave their waitress a hard time.. a very hard time. They hid the bill so they could try to get out if paying. They cried abiutathis cried about that. Every time the waitrwsa walkes away. They would laugh and make jokea about her and nit paying. They stiffed her on a tip. I felt very bad that she had to deal with them. The table got there about the same time as us. They just literally gave the waitress a hard time. She remained very professional, up spirited, and appaulogetic the whole time. Very good wait staff. The waitress was expressing the senerio to her manage at one point. The manager was very receptive and talked to the party. The party acted as thiugh the waitress was the worst theythave ever had and should not be a waitress. Being the good person I am, I pretended to go to the bathroom. I talked to the manager out of site and told her what I seen and heard. To include where they hid the bill. The manager was very appreciative. Just fantastic an professional. Above and beyond.

As for the food. It was awesome. Two of us had their half rack of ribs. Ribs had a rub and it was fabulous. The fries were great. The slaw was good. Other people in my group ordered burgers and a Ruben. The food was so good, .my sister ordered and extra meal.to take home. Their fried pickles great. Their chip and dips we're awesome. Being a brewery I was expecting brunch size meal, but no, .they're a dinner size meal. Tasty, good quantity, and very reasonable in price. I feel for the quality of service and the large group we had. The cost was very reasonable. I am a huge eater. My 19 and 20 year old sons are big eaters as well. Even my wife ate all of her food. Normally not normal for her to do that. Four grown adults,3 beer, 3 unlimited sodas, 4 main meals, 4 deserts cost 100 bucks. With tip 120. We had nothing to take home. Everybody ate everything.. there food came out very hot and very speedy. Awesome food. Ribs fell off the bones. The penut butter explosion was unbelievable. This place is awesome place to eat. The staff is grand,. Food exceptional, .they even had live music. Very low keyed music from the 60 70 and 80. Stuff like Jimmy buffet, Stevie Nick's, eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Huey Lewis and the news, cat Stevens, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, and some blues. I rarely give a 5. This place got it. I have already booked 2 more reservations for me self. I am told the have rooms as well. I am checking into this. So excited for my next visits. This place.to me is better than any longhorns, TRH, an olive garden, buffalo wild wings, Applebee's, ground round, Uno's, 99, taste better and more cost effective.

Didn't care for the parking need more of it. Only seen two kids there and they looked like they had plenty to eat and we're not disruptive. They have kids meals on the menu. Go take a gander the place is awesome... Hope this was...

We had a fun visit to this place ! The beer was fantastic! I tried quite a few different ones, and it was such a fun tasting experience.

The only downside was the limited selection of snacks. My husband has multiple allergies, so it was a bit tricky for him to find something safe to eat. We ordered fries and asked for the sauce to be left off. They did, but it ended up being the saltiest fries we’ve ever had, and they did warn us beforehand.

It would be great if they had more snack options for people with dietary restrictions, but overall, we really enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere. And at the end, the talented guy playing with rubber ducks was such a fun and...
