Jade Garden — Restaurant in City of Plattsburgh

Went for the first time tonight and I was very happy with what I ordered. I got the diced chicken with cashew nuts and loved it. it wasn't overly salty and wasn't just chicken and cashews there were veggies in with it too giving it a variety of textures. The chicken was moist and tender and the white rice that came with it was perfectly cooked and delicious. We also got fried wantons and crab rangoons both were what you'd expect. Standard Chinese American takeout, but this is Plattsburgh and you really can't expect much in the way of Chinese food. However, between Jade Garden and No. 1 on Cornelia Street, Jade Garden wins hands down. Jade Garden's food is fresher and better prepared. Their dumplings are much better than No. 1's, as is their General Tso's chicken. Wish they had better hours (they don't open until 3:00 pm). If they were open for lunch I would probably order...

NASTY. We were sat and within 5 minutes we left. Charged almost $50 and still had to go somewhere else to get food. I have never been ripped off like that in my life. Go elsewhere I promise you will regret the choice to go here. The right thing for them to do would have been to not charge us full price for taste testing everything.
