Karam Asian Grocery & Halal Meat — Attraction in City of Schenectady

Worst place to buy products and meat from. The guy in the back is so disgusting and the meat place is so unsanitary! He would pick his nose and not bother washing his hands before grabbing any meats (had this happen to me when I went to buy my meat). It was just way too nasty for me so I left without buying the meat. Oh yes, even after reading this, you still want to buy their meat, make sure to stand in front of him when he charges you on whatever meat you buy because he WILL charge you extra. Make sure the weight machine is all in zeros (had this happen to me as well before his nose incident on a different day). Their food products have passed due dates on them so check it before you buy anything there. I used to just go there because it's the closest halal meat + grocery store I had near me. I don't care if I have to waste gas to go to a better place but heck, never going back there AGAIN. I'd really give it a one star if I could but I guess this one star would be for the lady in the front....

We were charged for the meat per pound before they cut it up and trimmed the fat and gristle. We were charged for 3 lbs of meat but actually received two pounds (weighed when we got home). They weighed the raw beef and chicken on the same scale pan and never cleaned between uses. So our meat was contaminated with raw chicken juices. They wore masks that didn’t cover their noses and often not their mouths....
