Good Friend Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Utica

I would have given 0 stars if possible but it won't allow less than a 1 star rating. I called ahead and ordered at 6 pm tonight. They never gave me a time when the food would be ready. They never asked for a name or phone number. I got there within 20 minutes. I waited patiently until 630 when I went to the counter to ask if I could please check if it would be much longer. I was told just a little longer. I had to run outside quick to check on my 11 year old child in the car as I left him there with instructions to please stay in the car as I thought I would be able to run in quick. I was outside for a little over a minute. I went back inside and waited until 650. I went back up to the counter and asked again if I could please check on my food as I ordered at 6 pm. He then told me he called to say the food was ready awhile ago. I checked my phone and there were no calls from anyone within the last hour other than my call to order the food. I took the food home. When we got home it was cold and hard. We tried to reheat it and it was terrible. It was a waste of $42.79. I will never go back there again. Purchased well over 100 dollars worth off food, brought it home for the wife and kids for dinner, hours after eating the food everybody had food poisoning, upon bringing almost all the food back because the kids didn't think it tasted right and then puked for the entire night, the owner refused to give us a refund based on the fact that he says "all my food top quality". I have been ordering from Peking Tokyo for 10+ years and never got sick off the food and if there was ever a thing wrong with it they would refund or remake the product. Highly don't suggest ordering food from this place as they clearly don't care about customer services or cleanliness, Also owner expects me to go to the hospital and get tested as well as getting my children tested for food poisoning for a refund which is a ridiculous request, as we live over 1 hour from a hospital and I...

First time to Good Friend for takeout... It seems like your typical Chinese take out place, but there are a few tables so you could eat in which is a nice bonus. Other than the nice lady at the counter could not understand my special request I asked with my order of shrimp with lobster sauce to be mixed with black bean sauce, the two items we ordered (shrimp, chow mei fun) were prepared nicely. I prefer regular shrimp (not the tiny size included) with my chow mei fun so that was a slight disappointment. I am looking forward to return to try the bourbon chicken and some other items...
