W. B. Thompson Mansion — Attraction in City of Yonkers

We were truly amazed by the faded beauty of this historic mansion. Unfortunately, we could only walk around the grounds — there’s no public access inside, and there are many signs saying it’s private property.

Still, the gardens are lovely, even though parts of the place are clearly falling apart. You can easily imagine how magnificent it once was. It’s a bit sad to see such a beautiful building in this condition.

The place is beautiful, but it’s a shame that it’s in such terrible condition. Everything is falling apart… Btw it’s private property and even though we were able to take a few pictures, when security guy spotted us, he asked us to leave. I don’t know his work schedule, but to enjoy this beauty you need to find a way to avoid meeting him🤫 I really hope this place will turn into beautiful gardens with art gallery, museum, or something like this. It’s so beautiful, it deserves to be seen...

This is a beautiful piece of historical land and buildings, however, someone is building an ugly structure in the back . Why do they tear down beautiful and put up ugly? I've looked into this, and there's nothing online telling us of what's going on. Another one of Yonker's back ended payoff...
