Had a bridal shower at this location in the Platinum Room. Here are my family's pros and cons.
Pros: The space itself is beautiful and bright, had plenty of room for the 60 guests we had food was phenomenal - chicken parm was perfection waiting staff were great during service the bartender (Dwayne) was on his game and the guests loved him! (7, 7, 7 - inside joke lol) parking is easily available. there was another event occurring at the same time but there was still plenty of parking available another event was occurring at the same time (BIG EVENT) and we did not feel it interfere with our event room access is easy. Entrance right on the side of the room was very beneficial especially when loading gifts to the car bathrooms were clean we felt the pricing was fair for what we received, bright room, space, great wait staff, great food, freedom of music
Cons: although the room was bright and looked lovely, the floors were very dirty - sticky and dusty. unlucky ALWAYS ASK FOR A RECEIPT AND HAVE YOUR RECEIPTS WHEN YOU MAKE PAYMENTS - our money was mishandled and if it weren't for our receipt of payment, possibility of being out $1k - as a customer, you shouldn't really have to deal with the job of management IMO, but we get it, things happen.. when the final payment was made, there was an ask for gratuity already. if you pay gratuity before the service, don't. the future bride was asked immediately about tip payment when she arrived. The event is for her, why bother for tips so early on? Event hasn't even started at the end of the event, the mother of the bride gave tips out to the service staff, and when finding out about the tips already being distributed, she received attitude from Al about the distribution of it. reason because the mother did not trust Al with the tips because a payment was misplaced once already..... 3 times asking for gratuity gave off a sketch vibe, but we get it, things happen.. event was set to end at 5, but waiting staff started cleaning around 4:20. Although there were some people that were leaving, the cleaning was forcing others to leave as well. Efficiency or not, we paid until 5, and if there was a miscommunication, come and talk, not just come and talk asking for tips
For the food and venue itself, 5 stars. Even with the dirty floors, we made the best time out of it with the space provided.
For how we felt the money handling, and attitude towards the mother of the...
Read moreWe booked the Gran Centurions in Clark, NJ for our wedding on 11/10/2024 and we are very happy with our decision! We had struggled to find a venue for a long time, as we wanted a small wedding of around 80 folks top, which was much harder to find in NJ than we originally realized since most wanted a minimum of 100-125 guests. The Gran Centurions was our answer! We were able to book it with a minimum of 75 guests and the Diamond Room, Tiffany Room, and Gazebo were absolutely stunning! The venue provides a Maître d’, and we had Joanne for ours. Joanne was so easy to work with throughout the process and very responsive, oftentimes answering us when she wasn’t even working! She was able to help us coordinate what we were looking for and make it happen with the venue. Our guests were blown away by the overall appearance of the venue, and most importantly the food! We were able to customize our meals to meet the needs of our guests and were able to do signature drinks! For our signature drinks, the team went above and beyond to get a special raspberry mix to accommodate my request for a raspberry margarita and afterward, they gave us the extra bottles of mix to keep! The staff and bartenders on the day of were very friendly and responsive to the needs of our guests and ourselves. The venue also provided the cake and helped coordinate that with Palermo Bakery, which took something else off our wedding planning list. Overall, we are very pleased with the service and quality offered by the Gran Centurions! Thank you for making our wedding...
Read morePlease read, do not skip this review as I share my honest experience. Do not have your wedding here! Especially a traditional wedding. I repeat! Look else where to get your money’s worth. Joanne was very nice to work with but on the day of my wedding they highly disappointed me and messed up my whole wedding.
They double booked and rushed my marriage ceremony, which means every money spent on the ceremony from decor to my vendors for that hour was all wasted. A lot of money wasted and the sad thing is, they refuse to acknowledge their mistake. I received pictures and videos with the CEO Gary front and center angrily yelling at my guest to leave the hall for his next double booked event to happen. Where they do that at? Where’s the respect and professionalism. My guest kept saying “ I heard they do this all the time by double booking events”
They then proceeded to charge extra $2k+ for overflow without providing food or drinks for this extra charge. The most disgusting part of all this is that, the kitchen workers threw away extra food that I had catered in the trash (not gran centurion food) & upon reporting this nothing was done about it. Gran centurion turned the most important day of my life into a nightmare, I didn’t get a ceremony because we were rushed out of the hall, I didn’t get to eat ANY food because there was none provided for me and my husband & my personal catered food was thrown away by STAFF. Pictures & videos with proof to follow on here and social media.
If you want to enjoy your function & have a...
