AWFUL!! In 2016 my husband and I purchased a defender HD 10 XT from CC Powersports in Clarksville, Indiana. I knew almost immediately I made a mistake dealing with this location. Originally I had visited CC Powersports in Loyusville, where the sales people were respectful, helpful and offered me a great deal on a wonderful machine. But because I need my husband to see snd test the the machine before we spend a LARGE amount of money on it, we went to the closer store in Clarksville. The sales people were nice enough, but I had to fight to get half of what I was offered at the Louisville store. I left not getting completely everything that I had at the Louisville store. We paid cash for this machine! I had some issues after that with there was a slight recall on the machine but they didn’t seem to know how to do it I was the first one they did they put me off for a while, whatever it worked out. But, I did have issues and had to make kind of a big deal to get the warranty work completed. I visited the Clarksville store today, Saturday, September 29, 2018, and there was apparently a state-sponsored motorcycle course taking place in the complete front parking lot, the only parking lot for the whole store. I am handicapped, and needed to park close to the store in one of the handicap spots which they would not allow me to go to. So I pulled up close to the front of the store off to the side out of the way of everything and as I was exiting the car a gentleman came up to me and said I couldn’t park there. I’m handicapped and was not allowed access to ANY handicapped parking! I can’t walk that far - from the far end of the parking lot, to the far back end of the store. He said how about parking to my left, about 10 feet away. I accommodated him, got out the car went into the store on the Indian motorcycle side, no one around us started Saying “hello” rather loudly to get anyone’s attention, which they had employees probably 50 to 75 yards in front of me in the store. Needless to say, no one responded. I got aggravated and decided to leave. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, I decided to drive around back to the service department, again no parking because all spots are taken up by vehicles that apparently they’re going to work on, I’m not sure, but there is no parking back there. So I pulled into the service area, to the left of the doors where they pull the vehicles and motorcycles in and out, got out the car spoke to the gentleman at the service desk. I asked him if parts were still In same place , he responded yes. So I then walked to the service desk, whom I was looking for a bruise that I spoke to yesterday in parts he had my parts pull together, I was supposed to. As I walked up to the service desk that are older gentleman helping someone, two other younger fellows at another register the backs to me so I made noise nobody turned around nobody offered to help. Even after the older gentleman’s customer left he was finishing up I guess the work on his computer from his deal with that man. In the meantime I’m standing there about two minutes or better, the service guy who I just spoke to when I came in came up to me and told me I had to move my car could not park there. I told him I was only there to pick up I asked him if parts were still Cadda corner to him, he responded yes. After waiting two minutes that same gentleman from service told me and tell me I had to move my car! And then said rather loudly, the parts people could hear me. I spoke to Bruce last night he should have my order here, I just need to pay for and pick it up and leave. I’ll be just as quick as I can if someone would wait on me.“ No one turned around. So I said cancel my order, and I left! I will not deal with this location ever again! If I deal with another can a.m. in this area, I will certainly go to the Louisville location! It’s only 15 or so miles out of my way, but I will do that go to Ohio or order it online! I will not spend one more cent here, Nor can I recommend anyone to deal with this location! The Louisville Store...
Read moreThis place use to be a good enjoyable place to visit. My family and friends have done lots of business here. The day I stopped in, not 1 customer in the building or outside. I was here to buy a NEW SIDE BY SIDE... Yes, with cash! No financing needed with me. I own, let me say this again. I OWN... My truck that I pulled up in, my house, and my company. Yes, I looked dirty/was dirty. I walked around looking at the side by sides & ATV's for over an hour. 2 different guys looked at me and said not a word. I even tried asking the older gentleman/(not the word I would really like to use). Looked at me like I was white trash. I hope he reads this. Shouldn't judge a book, by it's cover... The field your in buddy should've done taught you this. Ever hear that old country song. That old man can buy your shiny truck with hundred dollar bills. Well, that was me. Young guy, though. $20,000 to be be exact. I'm sure you would have made a nice commission on that. Another guy inside was to busy flirting with the lady at the front desk. I thought to myself... I've done that before. When he's done with getting Nowhere with her.... He'll acknowledge me an offer help. Nope! There were only 2 people in the entire store to offer help. 2 people! What's wrong with this picture? I'll tell you what's wrong with this. This is the best part... The 2 people that offered me help... They both worked in a different department! Both of these ladies... LADIES! Worked in different departments. One lady worked in the Indain Motorcycle department. The other lady worked on the side that sold Motorcycles. They both offered me help. If I was the owner. I'd fire everyone of the guys. Seriously, why pay people that don't work? It wasn't just the couple sales guys. It was the service department too. I tried to ask one of those guys a question. He was to busy wanting to race the other guy across the store. That's when the other guy started the motorcycle up in the store. Laughing basically in my face. He let me know it's not his job to help me either. I would bet this place goes under. It's sad... I'm guessing "15" employees that were working that day. Out of (15 employees=2 offered help to me that they couldn't really probably give me.) This should be a wake up call for you guys! You lost a big sell... I spent my money with someone else. Drove 5 hours to a Yamaha dealer in, North...
Read moreInitially, I had some issues with CC. Mostly because they were not very friendly when I showed up early and asked for a contact for service.
Then, when I was trying to make a deal I was offered a bike above the sales price initially. Secondly, when they tried to make it right by making an offer on another bike saying they were making a deal just for me, trying hard to earn my business, but it was the same deal I could get both on line, or at their other location off the Brooks Road exit.
I decided to talk eye to eye with the salesman and let him know we were not able to make a deal on the sport bike. To come clean I told him I was looking for a sport bike because I was not able to look at a "gandpa bike" by my co pilot. Before leaving, my lady and I went over to the Indian side of CC.
There we had an entirely different experience. We were greeted by a volunteer vet who knew the bikes and their history. He was excellent. Before we knew it, we were checking out a new Indian Road Master. They allowed us to take a demo ride and we were hooked. But, they didn't have a paint scheme we thought was perfect. So, they told us they had an Ivory over Black just un-crated but not prepped. It was gorgeous. We signed a deal for this bike. But, the approach by the salesman was such that we were ok to no haggle the bike. That, plus they give a vets, like me, a discount and 10% off equipment. This was not offered on the import side. Or, "I'd have to see if they are offering the Vet discount". The way I see it, either you support vets consistently, or you do not. We are looking forward to working with Cat on extras over the years.
I'm happy with the outcome. I may have wrapped up a deal on a new FZ10 if the deal plus vet discount was offered. Now we have something that my lady and I have both test driven and we know we can take on long rides, no problem. No, I didn't trade in my Fat Boy.
I give 4 stars because the original deals offered, were not really anything special. Vets were more appreciated on the Indian side, which means more to me than the price. CC Should have given the same consideration on both sides of the wall and if they say something is a special deal, it better be something that you cannot get at their...
