I love Mexican food and I have eaten at virtually every Mexican restaurant within 20 miles of my home, and that's a lot of restaurants! For the last two years I have only eaten carry-out so I cannot really judge the atmosphere but really it's all about the food. When I eat at a restaurant for the first time I typically order a burrito. If a Mexican restaurant can't make a good basic burrito, I have to wonder about the remainder of the menu. When I ate at Mexico Lindo the first time I was surprised that they had so many different burritos to choose from. I ordered a steak burrito and it was good, quite good. A few days later, that burrito was on my mind and decided to stop for a supper pickup again. This time I wanted pork so I ordered the Burrito Roqueto and that is as far as I have gotten into their menu. The Roqueto is the best burrito I can remember eating! The pork is seasoned perfectly and so tasty. It comes with a sauce on top that could be considered spicy by some but I think it is a perfect match. When you order this burrito the menu says that you can choose rice or beans as a side but usually they put both in the aluminum container. At most restaurants I only get chips and salsa with my carryout if I remember to specifically ask for them, at the Lindo there is always a bag of chips and a cup of salsa even if I forget to mention it. Thus far I have only eaten their food after I pick it up and drive 10 minutes to get home. Can't wait to eat it on a hot plate fresh from the kitchen. If you are a couple and not big eaters, you could probably split the meal and be satisfied, I devour the whole thing except maybe some chips and a little salsa. There are less expensive burritos out there as the Roqueto costs $11 and change but I consider it to be a bargain. And one last thing, the staff is great. Sometimes their English isn't perfect and my Spanish is non-existent so if I ask a question it can be difficult to get an answer. But instead if being impatient or rude, we figure it out or they get someone who can translate for us. I will still eat at other Mexican Restaurants but I think my stomach has...
Read moreThe overall experience was decent, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype from the reviews I’d read. The food was average—nothing remarkable. The steak fajitas were a letdown, with some pieces full of gristle that I couldn’t chew and had to spit out. On the bright side, the burrito was tasty and generously sized. They don’t serve any IPA beers, which was disappointing. I understand it’s a Mexican restaurant, but having at least one IPA option wouldn’t hurt. The booth seating was another issue—uncomfortable and worn out, like sitting in a hard bucket. Definitely needs an upgrade. Our waitress seemed a bit irritated at first, though I did manage to get a smile out of her eventually. One major annoyance: the loud doorbell that chimes every time someone walks in. It’s distracting and grating. Now, the margarita? Absolutely fantastic—easily the highlight of the visit. Chips and salsa were forgettable. I might come back for drinks and maybe give the tacos a shot. If you’re into margaritas and just want a casual spot to hang out with friends after work, this place could be worth a stop. Beyond that, it’s...
Read moreSmall worn place, not much to look at, cash checking place in there too, pleasant server, good Barbacoa tacos, good Mexican egg breakfast called Huevos rancheros, ask for green sauce on the side as its a bit spicy although warm & addicting. good cheese quesadilla and they have horchata. More authentic here. All welcome although Spanish language is beneficial. Ticket stays at cashier where you pay after you eat. Repeat customer. Came back after remodel. Exterior and interior renovations. Looks much better. They have plastic tables and chairs though. Same menu with new menu. New addition is fresh chips and salsa. They were good. The two ladies that run the place during week day lunch are very nice.
