Cleveland Public Library - West Park Campus Library Branch — Attraction in Cleveland

The renovation is fine. It underwhelmed me, and felt cold and unwelcoming. When I go to a library, I always expect warm wood and cozy vibes. This feels way too open, the colors and cold, and I just felt... not great there. Some people prefer that though, so to each their own. There seems to be a distinct lack of books. What books they do have seem to be for the most part newer releases and other currently super popular authors and series. This didn't really feel like a place for someone like me who likes to browse and look for variety other than all the same old books you...

This was my first time coming to this library since the renovations and I must say it’s gorgeous! Especially if you are familiar with the previous building. The children’s area in downstairs. It has a small play area for kids, booth tables, cute cubby areas with outlet plugs available. The staff are very kind and everything is modern. One thing I found very cool was the reservation space for held books. It’s like the Amazon locker holders you find. Looks like you enter a code and you’re able to get the books you reserved. The new library layout is amazing, light bright, lots of spaces to sit, read, work, relax. Keep in mind that is is a small branch, so there are not many books, if you like to go and browse, this might not be the best place for you. However it is linked to the rest of the Cleveland system so you can request any book and have it dropped in the super convenient locker - which is accesible even outside of library hours.
