Kolou's African Market , LLC — Attraction in Cleveland

So I was really excited to check out this market. It had such great reviews. Unfortunately my daughters and I were made to feel extremely unwelcome. The male staff asked us what we were looking for and my daughter said Ethiopian seasonings. This staff member began yelling at us saying they don't have that here and continued to follow us and yell at us until we left. I hope that it was miscommunication, but it was very off-putting. Such a great little place! I visited them on opening day and was happy to see they were really busy. They have all the standard convenience mart fare, as well as tons of things I've never heard of but can't wait to try. If you're looking for teff flour, couscous in bulk, spices, etc, this is your place. When we checked out, the owner even added a few items to our bag for free--mango juice and some little cookies. They were delicious and we'll definitely buy some next time...

The worker followed me and my mom around asking what we needed and then when we said we just needed to look around he goes “I need to make sure we have it” It was ABSOLUTELY racially motivated as he was basically shooing us out the store the ENTIRE time. It was super uncomfortable and I refuse to spend my money somewhere...
