This is a really fun place. It's a little on the pricey side for the golfing, but it's fun cause the "greens" are purple! I am not sure why, but that makes the golfing more fun.
The best thing about taking kids there is that if you beat them, you can tell them winner has to buy everyone candy! The candy store that is attached can be a little pricey, but it has lots of classics. We didn't like any of the popcorn we bought that day.
The attached candy place is huge and it is a fantastic family owned business. It's like a candy warehouse.
On the downside I will say be careful what you buy. The business is great, but the customers are awful. Be careful packages are not open or broken. Candy is put all in the wrong places and thrown around. Sadly we found a kind of candy that is really hard to find and every one was damaged. There were only about 30 package of it. A customer had completely crushed and broken every single package and it was very obvious it was deliberate. Watch your kids closely in this place. It's a shame someone let their kids do this! I still give the business 5 stars because that is on someone, not the owners. It would be wise if the business put in a lot of cameras or had more staff roaming the isles, but sad they even need to...
Read moreWe love mini golf but this course just didn’t do it for us. Pricing seemed a little steep for a mediocre course and the young man in the booth seemed bored and disinterested. The greens themselves were in decent enough shape, but the black mats at the start of each hole with the built in inverted ‘tees’ were worn down to the point that most of the center holes were unusable because they didn’t hold the ball properly. All trash cans throughout the course were overflowing with trash - and bees. There was trash on the ground in several places. The candy-themed decorations throughout the course were mostly damaged and run down. I’m the type of person who likes to take a lot of pics to capture memories of the experiences my family shares, but I was not inclined to take a single photo here due to the overall lackluster appearance and garbage laying around. The head of the clubs were an oddly curved shape that were unlike any club I have seen on any of the dozens of mini golf courses I’ve been on, which made it exceedingly difficult to hit the ball in a normal manner. We chose to try the ‘hard’ course which honestly didn’t seem to be any more challenging than the other. Overall, we just did not enjoy our experience at Sweeties Golfland and will not...
Read moreJust went to play mini-golf. 1st visit in about 5 years I think. Nice course that is a bit challenging. Not busy for a holiday which I found strange. Course does need a little loving care, some of the course decorations are broken. Course play price is reasonable and the pathways are interesting to play through. We had played at the end of the day and apparently because they were closing, one of our family members who made a hole in one on the last hole wasn't allowed to spin the prize wheel because it was put away for the night. That won't discourage me from returning but those type of small things you remember doing as a kid growing up and wining something on a challenge like that brought back great memories we didn't get to experience this time with my family. Didn't get to experience the ice-cream and candy store so maybe next time. I hear they have some really cool die-cast to look at in there and plenty of candies I grew up with still available. All in all it was a wonderful night spent with family at a historical cleveland favorite...
