Customer service is horrible. Clearly these employees hate their job or are just miserable people. It shows when they have to interact with the customer. Which is very clear, not their priority. They are very rude, not kid friendly and heaven forbid you ask a question, they will just roll their eyes at you and answer with disgust. My children love the decor and the sundae bar. The soft serve seems to only come in vanilla since the chocolate and swirl have both been out of order for our last three visits. I asked if we could get a small scoop of chocolate so my child can still get the ice cream she likes and the toppings. After the very nasty girl looked at my child and rudely said NO and walked away, I asked if I could just purchase the scooped ice cream and let her get her own toppings still. The same girl said only if we paid $2 per topping. Which would have brought my child’s small sundae cup to about $25. My child takes maybe 2-3 pieces of multiple types of toppings. I asked to speak to a manger and was denied. That was our first issue. Giving some time before our next visit, we encountered the same issue 4 months later. Vanilla soft serve only. But they do not inform you of this at the time of purchasing. I asked if I could just change to a scoop of chocolate ice cream and was told “NO”. By the same sweet girl. This time two of my children, both 6 years old, recognized the girl and asked if we could go somewhere else because she is mean. I asked if it was possible to return the cups and she said no, you already touched them. So my children did find something they could enjoy, but they agree, we will not be back. The service staff uses their job as an opportunity to socialize with each other and ignore the customers as long as possible. What a real shame. When this place opened they had servers that came to your table, brought water, pretzels, crayons and made the experience something enjoyable for the entire family. Read moreBen is the best! I live in Maryland and come to town only a couple of times a year. It's tradition to stop at Sweetie's to get grape Pez for my son. This past Tuesday I was on the way to the airport to fly home, stopped at Sweeties, and found the grape dispenser empty. There were no boxes up top, so I asked Ben if there were any boxes in the back. I explained that I had exactly 20 minutes before I had to leave the store to get to the airport on time. Ben literally ran across the store into the back and dug around until he found the box of grape Pez that was fresh off the truck and yet to be stocked. He certainly did not have to go out of his way, but he did. He made my stop worth it and he allowed the tradition to carry on! Shout out to Ben! Read moreOn 7-12-23 at 5pm my wife and I went to get ice cream we were behind two people when it got to be our turn (there was nobody behind us) to order the lady walked away from us we stood for ten minutes while she ignored us I then walked to the other side to say to her hey we just want two cups for the soft serve ice cream she then said in a very rude tone you have to order over there so I said I know we were standing over there she then said I saw you I'm busy doing this we waited an additional 5 minutes and then left and got ice cream elsewhere.
