Reviews are very important in this day and age, and I am one to do much research prior to anything I buy or do, so here we go! I can only speak for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program! In order to attend the school the first criteria you have to meet is having a Bachelors degree. This is a plus because that means you are expected to be a professional from the start! As many of you may be, I too, was skeptical to go here because it is a certificate program and not a degree. Prior to this school, I was in the medical field, (but Dental the other side!) It all starts from the first impression, with that, Tei left a lasting one. She made sure to personally be accessible to any future/current/past students by giving you her personal number. I have been to two other colleges and I do not recollect anyone ever doing that, they really don't care for you just your money. Now as far as the teachers and program.. The program is an INTENSE 18 month course, (remember you signed up for it,) that requires MUCH hard work and time beyond, the general class time. It is designed to take you from the bare basics and provide you with the essential tools to understand your new career. On to the teachers, the teachers here PERSONALLY care for your success. They provide you with the tools, text books, and knowledge they each have. Gayle and Maryna are EXCELLENT resources and teachers. I truly have learned to love them, and respect them and their knowledge! They both have been in the field and can give you much insight and prospective on the FULL ultrasound experience and knowledge. When you think you can't, they tell you, "Oh you can and will!" The online component is not bad; however, you have to be disciplined and diligent to do your WORK! Many of these people complaining probably fell behind because they probably thought they can skate by! This is not the case here. Now in regards to financial aid, they are nice over there and do help you.
Cons- As with anything, there are cons. A major problem I had with the school was in the beginning. There was no orientation to show you how to log on to the schools online campus, and this is not good. I am a need to know kinda of girl. I am glad that I was already an online student once, and am computer savvy, as this (and another student,) saved me on my first day! If you have online class before lab then you too will be lost! Another con for me personally was the fact that I was not informed about the finals being in the middle of the day prior to signing up! I think that this is an important component for working people to know! Not everyone has the flexibility to just take off of work, if they are still working and going to school at the same time.
Overall- I really love the school. I am extremely content with the choice I have made to advance myself and my family. This is not for everyone, and it truly is what YOU make of it. If you truly put in the hard work, you can excel in this school! If you do not, it will not work for you... Good luck and continue to soar!!!
P.S. I have actually spoken to an alumni of the school, (who happened to be my daughter's sonographer by pure coincidence,) and she is working for a huge hospital in Jersey City. This to me was reassuring that I have made the...

The reviews you are reading are 100% true please, please believe me. I read the reviews too late and I had to deal with a lot of bs w the students and the teachers.
The beginning is always easy and chill for many of us. They talk about their experiences and you laugh. There are no open ended questions YET (only multiple choice until mod3). Every instructor will tell you to quit if you don’t think medical assisting is for you. Which makes sense buuuuuut when you talk about leaving they wanna get all up in your bum asking who what where when and why? They make money getting you out of there.
The instructors act like little kids. One who brags about fighting, the other a homophobe, a ratchet smh. They can’t stay professional. “We are not your friends we are your students” but they want to be more than that. Going out drinking with their students (I never did, but some have invited students to drink at the end of the day).
Another thing about these instructors is that they rely on us so much. They want us to go out for them and grab items or they mess up their faces to show they’re going through something. It’s okay to give your instructors advice once in a bluemoon but they should always try to keep their business outside of work. I was getting tired of my classmates always trying to be there when we are supposed to be learning. They tell us to stay off our phones/shut them off but they keep them on claiming it’s for work (It is for very few) but many have it on to communicate with loved ones/friends and they have the ringer ON.
THEY ALL WORK UNAMUSED. BORING. They have that nasty looking face like they want to puke or look grumpy and annoyed. They put me to sleep faster than Bob Ross showing me how to paint a sky. They don’t act like they care. They will tell you “American Institute is the only school that is having problems taking BLOOD PRESSURE” ..... HOOOOW!?!!?? ITS THE EASIEST JOB TO DO!!!!! HOOOOW!!? They teach you for TWO MODS. But I mastered it FIRST MOD. I don’t want to believe that AI students are failing to take a patients BP. Please do not attend. I repeat DO NOT ATTEND AMERICAN INSTITUTE. You will only make friends. You will be wasting $18k. Spend that money on...
Read moreThey are no longer FOX BUSINESS INSTUTE -Ther school is now called AMERICAIN INSTITUE - i went for a yr and completed a cns course and i can say it was a a waiste of time & money!! Although the staff are great and teachers are very caring and nice - if your lookng to LEARN & have a REAL CAREER - DO NOT WAISTE OUR TIME WITH THIS SCHOOL!! They charged me over 20k for the course i had to take out 4 studnet loans to pay it back (still paying after 2yrs later) & they dont even pay for your certifcation test! There is no assocites or college degree earned at this school and you will only recieve a "school Diploma" for attenfing/completing the course which is completly wortless in most cases.. especially if your considering a four yr school in the future there so called " 30 college credits they give you at the end are non-transferable in most schools becuase most universitys do not recognize this as an acreddited school. so if your jsut looking forsome quick learning to get a simple diploma and possibly a simple job or basic learning than this school is right for you. - But if your like me who wishes to succeed and go far in life having a DEGREE and a high paying CAREER than this is not for you. to simply this if you jsut want a job go here if oyu want a CAREER than Do Not GO TO tthis school- because thats all it is " A SCHOOL" !!! -sorry i had to speak the truth like i said the staff & teachers are nice but you have to put Nice aside & face...
