Read moreI had such a great time on the Southern Michigan Railroad’s Fall Colors Tour! The ride from Tecumseh to Clinton takes about 45 minutes and is absolutely beautiful—especially with all the autumn leaves. I rode in the open-air gondola car, which made it even more fun and scenic.
The conductor and crew were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome. When we stopped in Clinton, they even served apple cider at the station, which was a really nice touch. The train boards right at the corner of Evans Street and M-50 in Tecumseh, and it’s an easy spot to find.
It’s a great outing for all ages—families, couples, or anyone who just wants to enjoy a relaxing, nostalgic ride through the countryside. I’d definitely recommend it to everyone. If there’s a chance of rain, though, bring a poncho if you’re riding in...
Read moreThis was a charming little train ride that allowed us an opportunity to kick off the holidays in style. The train is clean and comfortable, the adjustable benches in the commuter car were a nice bonus, allowing us to change the configuration so we could all sit together. The kids loved meeting the folks who took us on our train ride, and having Santa greet the train on arrival was a wonderful surprise. Everything was well organized, though the gift shop was a little small for the number of folks trying to pass through with only a single door and a small lobby, but that was one small issue on an otherwise delightful holiday trip. We will definitely be booking another trip...
