Tibbits Opera House — Attraction in Coldwater

7/11/24, RENT, Show 1. What a great day this made for me!!!! For 18 months I've been wanting to visit this opera house!! And what an awesome space it was when I finally made it to town!!! As a Historical Theatre operator myself, I would love to see the inner workings of this unique piece of Michigan history, but this day, I got the experience of a patron!! A couple years ago, you would have never seen me at a musical...Tibbits presented my 3rd (all 3 in this year), and let me tell ya, the atmosphere and performance had me in tears from Angels death on!! It touched me deeply. Historical landmarks are something we should ALL experience at least once, and to some of us, we'll find our calling, Tibbits Opera House offers a magnificent place to get such an experience. Loved the atmosphere but at the same time it was horrible to have to set through the entire first act without the opportunity to get a bottle of water to drink, the online inquiry I did said that the bar would be open a half hour before showtime but it wasn't, it was seriously enough to make me not want to come back so I hope they see this review and make a change, other than that HUGE disappointment the place was AMAZING, I realize this post kinda contradicts itself but im just being honest, you aren't allowed any food or drink from outside so if you are like me and can't go an hour and a half without a water then you might have to smuggle one in movie theater style 🤣 with bottled water it...

• WARNING* I’ve always enjoyed coming to this theater; however, I was highly disappointed that this theater has decided to refer to Snow White as “they/them” throughout the children’s 10am show.
