This the very best place to eat of you want to go and set down and eat a meal dont be in a hurry it takes time for greatness and it is worth evey minute yoi will wait to the wait staff is great and the food is even better and I was surprised we took my son and his girlfriend there and the 4 of us ate and had desert 's all 4 of us with our meals and the bill was only $83.00 which was great considering the amount of food we got you wont leave hungry we were bringing boxes home with us cant wait to return. We returned again yesterday and can say there was a huge difference in our dining experience this time this was our 2nd time to eat here and will be our last after it it was so good the first was excellent we couldnt wait to get back but was let down big time,From the start the wait staff was unfriendly and didn't seem to care if you were there or not and the portions were a real let down my wife's food had no taste to it no one came back to the table to ask if we neede anything or if dinner was ok only a guy come by and grabed the plates the waitress come to the table and laid down the receipt didnt say thank you kiss my ass or nothing or even ask if we wanted desert just walked away just said here you go and before anyone says all they must of been busy I was shocked there was hardly no one there but not surprised with service like they have now we will go back to the mexican restaurant by the rail road tracks again it always had good food and great service so long El Cerrito you lost...

This place is usually my favorite spot to get good authentic Mexican food. However, last night night was different. There was a line out the door, but they were seating people so we decided to wait. After being in line for a while we realized that you have to sign in on paper at the register, but there was no sign, nor did anyone tell us that we needed to sign in to get seated. Then we finally get seated and it took a long time to even put a drink order in, so we ordered our food at same time as drinks. Took about 40 minutes to get our food. My sizzling steak was so burnt that the steam from it made me choke and cough, so a waiter removed it from in front of me until it quit sizzling, then sat it right back in front of me! They expected me to eat it! Once I took a pic of my food they came and asked if it was too burnt. By this point I'm so mad and embarrassed bc we were sitting right in the middle of the restaurant and everyone was watching me! Then by the time o got my food my hubby was done eating. Worst...

Visited for the first time on June 3rd, 2023 with friends and their kids.

Seated pretty quickly for a Saturday evening. Staff were really nice and willing to help with any questions.

The food was really good. One of us had the fajita nachos, and she was really impressed with how they tasted as well as the portion size. Another had steak tacos, and shrimp tacos, and he really liked them, no complaints.

My Chorizo Tacos were really good but they had a ton of cilantro. I also had chile pablano and that was really good too!

My wife was the only one who had an issue with her food. Her Chimichanga was burned on both ends, and the chicken was really dry. But.. When she spoke with staff when they asked how everything was, they insisted that her food be taken off the bill. So they ended up making it right without us even asking.

The margaritas were great. The free chips and salsa were excellent. The queso dip was great.

Overall, it was really good. Will be returning...

Synopsis: The margaritas are sublime and the value is what you’d expect. Check it out! Review: i stopped in after a long day of driving that ended in Coldwater. I was met by Saul - he welcomed me with a smile and sat me immediately. I ordered the top shelf margarita. At $8.99, it beat out a lot of bottom shell $7 margaritas I’ve had in my life. Chips and salsa - the staple - solid. The salsa wasn’t too spicy, the chips weren’t too salty, and they hit the spot. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. While it looked like a giant pierogi, the taste was anything 100% spot on. It was served without garnish...and it’s literally chicken and cheese...but for $5 it was spectacular. Service levels were friendly and consistent. Saul did a great job! If you’re craving Mexican, El Cerrito is your point of interest.
