This is a long skinny park right next to the railroad tracks in a nice, quiet neighborhood. I personally love the sound of the big diesel engines & the "song of the railroad" made by steel on steel as the train rolls by. Besides a playground with a Merry Go Round (wow!), it has slides & swings & the usual equipment. The park includes a volleyball court, small covered stage & bathrooms. Monument hosts a few band events here through out the warmer weather months. The stage can also be rented or used for free by school groups (check on this as policies may have changed). Read moreThis park was recently renovated and the new equipment is fun for kids that like climbing, sliding, and spinning or swinging. There's also a small rock climbing feature in the sand pit. They left one section of the old equipment with monkey bars which is the only piece I'd recommend staying away from. The paint is old and worn on the metal bars. It's become jagged and spiky. Definitely not ideal for swinging on. Younger kids who can't reach the bars still often enjoy this little piece with it's tunnel and small slide though.

Read moreI went on a day some running event was going on for kids and there had to have been 50+ kids and one parent (I have no kids just happen to have a picnic at the park) gave each individual kid those annoying whistles that come in party packs. That park was lively that day for sure. Good kids having wholesome fun, too loud for some maybe, great space, would go again without the constant whistles every second haha.
