I took my daughter to the Coffee Cup for breakfast. I found a hair in my food. Good thing I am not easily grossed out. The waitress gave me a discount on my plate.. something like 10% big whoop. Anyway, to make matters worse, she re-rang up my order with the discount. I left the original receipt on the table and brought up the one with the discount. Well, apparently, the waitress or whoever charged my credit card without authorization for the receipt I left on the table. To say that takes some nerve is an understatement. I had to cancel my card since who know what else they would charge without my authorization. I called the manager several times to have the charge reverse and NOT ONCE did the owner have the common courtesy to return my call. So basically, if you like hair in your food and a staff that is willing to charge whatever they feel like it on your credit card after you LEAVE the restaurant and then an owner who is obviously not too concerned about how his patrons feel about his business - have at it. I think I will pass. Way too many places to eat in town with respectful staff and management ...and no hair in your food ... makes you wonder what is going on in the kitchen.... something that goes on at the register... I guess Oh and by the way.. been months and still no refund. Guess the only way to have the charges reversed is to call my credit card company since the owner of the restaurant is completely UNCONCERNED.... I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again... thanks for helping yourself to my...
Read moreI don’t typically leave reviews like this but this experience should be shared!
On our way back from Colorado Springs tried going to Rosies but it was closed - went to this place based on reviews - BIG MISTAKE!
Went in, stood there and no one acknowledged us or even said “hi” - all of the open tables were dirty - apparently the one girl tasked with hosting and bussing was the only one qualified to clear dirty dishes because not one of the very disgruntled sour faced looking wait staff bothered to pick up even a dirty fork!
The lady who was supposed to be our waitress who looked to be the oldest and assumed to be the most experienced (obviously not the case) was very animated about how annoyed she was that it as busy!
While sitting at the “counter” we watched food stack up in the window- so the kitchen staff was cranking out food no problem but the epic part was the wait staff did not know where the food went -
the wait staff (if you can call them that) took the same food to the same table three times only to be told three times by the customer that it was not their food!
We finally walked out! Not only will we never go back but we will not recommend it!
The owner should seriously reevaluate operations and consider a change in staff and management!
And shame on all the wait staff for being so rude! Perhaps the SERVICE industry is not a good fit!
Ended up at the Speed Trap in Palmer Lake and only ONE gal was working the entire place and the service...
Read moreUpdate 6/15/24 IDK If they have switched owners since I was here 4 years ago or not, but it definitely was not the same caliber of food today. I forgot to take pictures but we both got GF pancakes. I got blueberry sauce and my dining companion got choc chips.
We actually switched from inside dining to outside because it was 81° in the restaurant and burning up. I went to the restroom, LOL, and struggled to pull my leggings down because they were sticking to me from the sweat. 🥵
I ordered a single gluten-free pancake and blueberry sauce. The pancake was hard, burnt, and pretty much a disappointment. The blueberry sauce was mostly cornstarch I'm guessing, with a few freeze-dried blueberries thrown in there. pretty flavorless as well.
This was my dining companion's first time to try gluten-free pancakes as she is not gluten free she just wants to be healthier. what a disappointment. She ordered eggs over medium, they barely came out over easy but tasted fine. The bacon was the saving Grace for her meal.
My single pancake, mind you about the size of my hand and a little bit thicker than a dime, and blueberry sauce cost almost $10. pretty pricey for A bland piece of cardboard. I've eaten here numerous times in the past and have always enjoyed it. I think this will be my last visit. I like eating here occasionally if I'm going hiking in Monument or Palmer Lake. They have gluten free pancakes and a nice...
