Alot of history and description of the area, once a church and now a historical society. The people have artifacts of the history and of course the burning bridge of Columbia during the Civil War which was a big piece of history that was part of the change and course of the American Civil War.

I've brought several friends there over the years. They all loved it and were just amazed at the quality and details. It's definitely not to be missed if you come here. And the artists working on it are fantastic.

We went to see the model train display upstairs. This is an ongoing creation. Great detail in the miniature buildings. We always enjoy the display.

The staff and volunteers of the Columbia historic preservation society are exceptionally kind, hospitable, and very knowledgeable.

The train platform is unbelievable. All of the details are exceptional. We were able to see so many of the houses in our neighborhood, and in the older parts of the city. It was a great 3D view of Columbia. Amazing details.

The holdings of the museum are one of a kind. Great info on Columbia’s past including the Underground Railroad. The collection of documents and photos is superb. You must stop in and research our town. The place is also a Mecca for Albatwitch folklore and Merch. Don’t miss this FABULOUS PLACE.

Went for the model train exhibit and was not disappointed! The builders were there, working on integrating a major new donation into the layout, and they showed me everything - including construction details on the terrain and the benchwork - from underneath! If you want to see the trains running, go on Sunday. If you want to look "under the hood", Saturday's the day! Very realistic layout with nice weathering and several...

A Train Display you have to see to believe! Tons of history on Columbia and its early inhabitants. Unassuming building, ( Old Baptist Church) parked on street. They request a donation. If you bring kids, make sure they are able to keep their hands off the train set! The volunteers put HOURS maintaining and fixing the display and it deserves...
