I have to remind myself when it’s the weekend because this place gets extra packed. I’ve enjoyed coming here in the past but my most recent experiences haven’t been as great. There’s seating….I’ve never been able to enjoy the outdoor seating due to the weather. The weekends it can be difficult to find seating even more so for parties bigger than two, tables can feel packed when the food is on them depending on what all you get. The past couple times I’ve gone I’ve asked for avocado to be added to my food. Once it was accidentally left out, we informed the owner and they gladly refunded us. This past time I barely had any added in to my wrap. Might just be my opinion but if I’m paying extra for avocado I want to see and taste it. Maybe they felt there wasn’t room. Ordered a smoothie that had strawberry listed….there was strawberry syrup drizzled in the cup. Not our preference. Along with having to mix it as it looked like it was separating. We ordered the “just avocado” toast and the avocado was already turning an aging color. The latte we ordered as a 20oz came out 16oz, that’s fine they were busy didn’t want to bring it up. I ordered the Chai Pie this last time and I couldn’t taste any Chai, only dead expresso. I asked if it was supposed to have expresso in it and was told no. They did offer to remake the drink. At this point I was over it and ready to leave. I over looked the fact they use seed oils as I’m trying to cut those out of what I eat because we’ve enjoyed coming here so much, but I feel like per our experiences here, have not been as good as they used to be. I’d still recommend them to others that are less picky, keep in mind the weekends are busy. Best wishes to...

If you haven’t been to Home Goodies Coffee yet — trust me, you’re missing out on something special. From the moment you step inside, it feels like you’ve just walked into a friend’s home — cozy, welcoming, and full of good energy (and even better smells!).

Let’s start with the drinks. Whether you’re a classic latte lover or the kind of person who always goes for the seasonal special, every cup here is crafted with so much care. Their coffee is smooth and rich — not bitter or burnt like you get in some places — and the flavors are perfectly balanced. My personal favorite? Their signature flavored lattes — you can tell they experiment until it’s just right.

And the food… oh my goodness. It’s not just something to grab on the side of your drink — it’s a whole experience. Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and comforting — from the pastries to the breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. You can tell it’s made with love, not rushed out of a kitchen.

But what really makes Home Goodies stand out is the people behind it. The owners are the heart of this place — genuinely kind, community-driven, and passionate about creating a space where people feel seen and welcomed. You can tell they pour their hearts into every detail, from the décor to the playlist to the way they greet their regulars by name.

It’s not just a coffee shop — it’s one of those feel-good places that reminds you what small business magic is all about. 💛

So next time you’re in Columbia, do yourself a favor: stop by Home Goodies Coffee, grab your favorite drink, and stay awhile. You’ll leave feeling happier than when you walked...

I keep telling myself not to waste money on coffee over $4. I I really needed a coffee today. I was walking thru Columbia, and my lack of sleep was catching up to me. I looked across the street and there was this coffee shop. I got an espresso with sweet creme, and my kid got a hot chocolate. Total was around $10. As much as I hate paying that much for a drink I'll consume in less than 5 minutes, I must admit it was pretty tasty. Definitely did the trick. I wasn't tired for a good while after I had it. So if you love coffee, definitely try this place.

Inside was pretty cozy. Staff was friendly. Look way bigger inside than out . They also serve food. Breakfast and lunch...dinner too I guess. Menu for food looked a bit pricey.

Also, they have an...

An amazing little shop with delicious food, fruity smoothies, fancy lattes, and everything in-between! The shop recently moved the register set up, and it looks fantastic! The employees are always so helpful and patient - I am normally with a child and I am also very indecisive. I really enjoy coming to sit and relax with a coffee! The room is filled with amazing art and items to purchase! You are really missing out if you're not starting your day off here! They do breakfast and lunch the whole time they're open.
