This is right by Veterans Memorial Bridge on the opposite side of river from Zimmerman Heritage. If you are a boater, this is a great spot to drop off at. Plenty of parking for you and your trailer. They have bathrooms that you can access during and after hours from outside. There is also a trailhead here for biking and walking.
The building can hold quite a few people and there is seating outside under cover at the main building or at the open benches by the river. There is also a place to bring a picnic basket under a pavilion (no grills though). There was a bike repair station, but it was out of order when I arrived. Their isn’t much historical items in the building as most of the signage is outside on the walking paths. The staff were inviting and friendly. There is no cost to enter, but donations are accepted.
It is right by the Susquehanna River so you can enjoy the views. Only issue is the traffic you can hear...

However it doesn't have a playground for children and you have to be careful allowing young ones to play In the grass by the river as there's no railing or anything to prevent them from falling in. Also there's a lot of poison ivy by the river. If you stay on the nice path or in the grassy area in the middle of it then it's a great place for a picnic or a leisurely walk. It's a very dog friendly place and a great place to feed...
