Overall I enjoy shopping here. Very good prices and great products for the most part. I like many of their German products, which remind me of a lot of foods I bought growing up in Poland. Also their Landshut riesling (in a blue bottle) is great. But be aware that they don't sell alcohol on Sundays. I guess you need an extra license to do that and it all depends on the location, but at this particular location on Silver Dr, you can only purchase alcohols Monday through Saturday. As one of the other reviews stated, be wary of their berries because frequently they are older and you can tell they are starting to go go bad. However, I have not had that issue with other veggies/fruits at this location. Also, they are open until 9PM on weekdays, not till 8PM. I notified Google of their error several months ago and they have not fixed the problem yet...I believe on weekends they are also open an hour later than posted but I can't recall right now so call them to double check if you plan on going there late on a...
Read moreI have recently discovered Aldi off Silver Dr. (Right off 71) and I have to say, I am surprisingly impressed!! My philosophy has always been that it's usually worth it to spend a little more money to get a quality product, period. I've always been reluctant to try off brands and discount stores ....... I always seem to regret it in the end. But Aldis' just blew all that out of the water!! I have yet to try an Aldi brand that I did not like. Literally, EVERY product I have purchased has been at the very least comparable to the big brands that are advertised. However, on numerous occasions, the Aldi brand has been even BETTER than the other guys. Not to mention, the store is clean, organized, and staff is refreshingly friendly and knowledgeable. Also, if you buy an Aldi brand and if for any reason you don't like it, they will refund the purchase price AND replace the product!! Now, if that's not knowing you have a superior product, I don't know what is !!!! If you haven't been yet, get to Aldis. 5 STARS...
Read moreI love getting my groceries here so much. Everything is so affordable, they keep several seasonal products in stock, and they have been branching out recently to accommodate for different diets, including some additional gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan alternatives. I'm not suggesting that their selection is that large, however, and even the average shopper can probably only expect to get 80-90% of their groceries here.
Do be a little extra wary of the produce, though. Mostly I've been just fine, but you honestly shouldn't buy berries here unless you found a really nice box of them and you plan on eating them all that day. They tend to stock older looking fruits that have gone south on me pretty quickly. I still buy a lot there, though. If you're a bit extra skeptical, you...
