I’ve lived at Bexley plaza for over three years and had many maintenance concerns. My apartment has flooded, leaked, ceiling collapsed and had sewage overflow. I’ve had to send numerous updates and examples of proof to get serious issues taken care of. Photos and videos of the situation were not met with any empathy. I felt they were pretty serious. My main issue is my bathroom ceiling has leaked and been repaired many times while I’ve lived here. They repair the ceiling (poorly) and don’t fully address the source of the leak until it inevitably leaks again. I sent service requests with photos, emails with videos, called, provided notice about the leak. There was no urgency on their part. I had to send many requests for updates to get resolution. Randomly one morning, they declared an emergency via text for the whole building at 9:20 am saying they’d be entering from 9a-5p. This repair also involved the unit above me. I had been reminding them of this for weeks but I feel they didn’t take me seriously and waited until the last second. After repairs had ceased the first day, less than an hour after the contractor left, the ceiling collapsed- even though they told me it was safe to use. This occurred at 2 pm when the office was open so I called. They said someone would be by to clean up. No one showed up- I had to clean up the rubble myself. I felt there was no regard for my safety. No plumber came by to inspect the leak- just the “drywall guy,” which is what he told me he was. The next day, the drywall guy smoked cigarettes in my bathroom, ashed in my toilet, urinated, and didn’t flush. He left my apartment door open and drove off when he needed more supplies. Demoed my bathroom with no ventilation- this set off the fire alarm. I also had to clean up the plaster after the repair. The repair job looks horrendous. After all that, the ceiling is still leaking. I do not feel valued as a resident here. I wish they would just try to make it right. It’s hard to live in a unit that’s leaking, damaged, and outdated (no bathroom fan, no kitchen exhaust) while listening to them renovate the unit across from me for weeks on end, even on the weekends! The walls are very thin and doors are not sealed so there is no privacy. Locking and shutting the outside doors has to be done manually otherwise people will hang out in the stairway. update to review: I submitted a ticket and called the number provided. A plumber came by for less than 2 minutes. No one has been by since. Was told I would receive a call from the DM but I have not. I have called for updates and no one answers the office phone. I feel ignored and as if they don’t care about these major safety concerns.

If I could give this place a -10 rating I would! I've been living here since April 2014, At first I was in love; the unit was beautiful, very large and visually appealing until I started stepping on exposed staples in the floor and stairs left from them ripping up the carpet prior to me moving in, small things started to fall apart; windows being painted shut, drafty windows, loose door knobs, unmounted shower rods, water damage from leaky faucets, cabinet door knobs falling off, loose drawer knobs, etc...then the entire railing outside my back door completely crumbled the cement and broke. The AC doesn't work at all unless you sit directly in front of a certain vent (only two work)There are mice invasions during the winter/fall and there's a serious roach infestation. The pool is overran by the teenagers in the area, this area is prone to home invasions. The playground they say they have is actually at Broadleigh Elementary school. They say as a tenent your not allowed to use outside products to rid the roaches such as Raid, HotShot, Combat, etc but the commerial exterminator they use called Varment Gaurd (if you can even call them authetic exterminators) come to your unit to put sticky traps down and leave. They're very unprofessional. Good luck getting maintainence to fix anything because they're always quitting. I haven't seen anyone to fix anything in my unit in about 4 months. Unfortunely I got the Varment Guard employees that straight up lie or half ass treat my unit if Varment Gaurd finds out you're using outside products they'll tell Zackary or anyone in the leasing office that you've refused treatment (which is a breech of lease agreement; grounds for eviction). It is terrible living here! My child is afraid to use to restroom because the pest problem is so bad. I decided to fog/treat my home despite being told its against policy. I'm currently being asked to vacate the premises within 60 days because I broke policy by using $50 of my own money to try to rid my unit of pests. I've been nothing but compliant only to be mistreated. Corporate refuses to tell me why I am being asked to leave when I pay my rent on time; I already know why. At this point I don't even want my security deposit. I am glad I am leaving let the next tenant deal with...

Old units with Roaches!!!!! If i could give 0 stars i would. So disappointed with this complex and management. Been living here 4 years. New management company new signs yet still OLD infested buildings/units no matter how much paint cheap carpet and new signs they put up it just is what it is. Can barley get an answer from the office - whatever woman/women are there are rude and never have answers/resolutions. SO GLAD IM LEAVING. Been dealing with ROACHES since February no empathy or concern from management just the same GENERIC RESPONSE that they have been sending out pest control.... WHICH IS A JOKE. they come out every Tuesday and just lay traps all over your apartment. It's disgusting and a health hazard. This was good for the moment when i first moved cheap rent, but now NO THANKS. Management, please save the fake generic response. Not once has anyone personally followed up with me regarding my on going problem with pest even reached out to upper management with no response. I have over 10 pictures of ROACHES coming out at night and during the day - with one even on my STOVE!!!! HOW GROSS!!! Recommend anyone looking to rent here DONT just pay the extra money somewhere else for something NEW NICE AND NO ROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE: 9/11/23 : Property left a generic response ACTING like they care just for the reviews. Nobody has reached out STILL, I emailed the property manager and the enail listed on the site with a screenshot if their response and to see how they will make this right. (They want me to pay a “buy out” fee n oct rent- im leaving sep 23rd) when the reason why im leaving is PEST PROBLEMS SONCE February!!!!that they think now because they have a pest control company coming out every Tuesday they are doing something. My whole apartment has roach bait throughout the kitchen in my CABINETS IN MY BATHROOM!! Like please just let me leave. Yet they have not responded to my email or called me but leave FAKE CONCERNED GOOGLE REVIEW REPLIES!!...
