A beautiful trail highlighting the natural wetland ecosystem. We always see birds and rabbits, and often other wildlife on our walks. The paths are paved, and quite wide. A mostly flat walk, this is somewhere I could bring friends who use walkers or a wheelchair. It is also a great place for kids to practice their riding skills. There is a picnic table under a gazebo and several benches along the path. There's also a small viewing platform that is under construction right now but quite lovely when it's open. The trail is very well marked with codes for emergency services to locate you in case you need it. Parking is a row of marked spaces in the back of the WR Odell Primary bus lot, don't be thrown off by the sign. No garbage at all and the grass and branches are obviously trimmed back on a regular schedule. I encountered lots of wildlife too! A snake, lots of lizards, furry catepillars, and lots of butterflies. I saw more wildlife than I did people! I went almost my entire 2.5 hours without seeing anyone else. It was very refreshing to be able to walk in a beautiful place that had no trash and signs of life while still being so close to the city.
