Had dinner here and it was honestly really good. My steak was cooked to perfection đ. When we arrived there was a line of 9 people waiting. Several staff members stared at the customer's but made no move to acknowledge their presence. There was no hostess and later we were informed there normally isn't one during the week. I watched several people waiting for service leave because no one approached them to be seated and this happened the whole time I was here. There was no soap and barely any toilet paper in the bathroom. My poor waiter was bussing tables, running food, bartending and taking orders. I felt bad having to even ask for more water because the man was doing everything... I mean everything! When he took our order he had the biggest smile and asked what we would like I and told him I want him to take a deep breath đ„° he was able to check on us as much as he could given he was doing 10,000 things at once. I'm glad we got the salad bar and we made a couple of trips until our food came out. The salad bar was clean and had a large variety of things on it. I Wish ham wasn't the only meat option. We loved the broccoli đ„Š salad and pumpernickel croutons. The mashed potatoes that came with my NY strip steak were really good. My husband got the trio and it came with ribs and we got the bourbon sauce on it. It also came with shrimp and chicken tenders however those were just run of the mill deep fried items. The ribs were amazing. They were very tender and fall off the bone. The fried shrimp did not look like it had been deveined and the breading on the chicken tenders was rock hard you could barely chew it. He ended up peeling the batter off. Terrible wait but food was good. My waiter was having a Murphy's law all day and we gave him a fat tip. I wished I could have remembered his name but I suck with names. Anyways he's the one getting married!!! We decided we're going to come back just because of him and hopefully will have an even better...
Read moreIâm giving 3 stars only because our waitress was pretty good (friendly, checked on us a couple times, seated us promptly.) This was Wed. night at 6:00 in the Concord, NC location. I had the sirloin, my husband had the rib eye. The steaks were okay; cooked correctly (mine medium, his well done) but other than that they were certainly not the highest quality or tastiest steaks weâve had this year. They also were a little too fatty. My loaded baked potato wasnât hot (or even warm). We ordered Burnt Ends for our appetizer: again, it was just okay. Very small portion (for $13.99) and appetizer plates werenât provided (always low-class, in my opinion). We sat there eating out of a small bowl, dropping BBQ sauce on the table. The bowl they came in was lined with foilâŠwhy??(Makes no sense unless maybe they were trying to cut down on the clean-up?) We didnât have dessert (though weâd planned to) because I wasnât impressed enough with the dinner to shell out another $10-$15 for what would very likely be a mediocre dessert. Lastly: I (mistakenly) ordered a glass of Josh Cabernet, because I love that wine. What a MISTAKE that was - really, I should have handed the glass back to the server after my first sip. The Cab tasted as though theyâd opened the bottle 3-4 days ago. SO old. You canât keep red wine sitting around open for more than a day (even re-corked!) Hello!! Pout the remaining wine out after a day and open a new bottle! TOTAL waste of $10.00. I really should have refused to pay for it but the server was nice and working hard (she was the only server in the restaurant) and I didnât want to make things awkward for her working her butt off in a 75% empty, somewhat run-down restaurant. Another Covid casualty, I believe. We were there 5 years ago and it was a FAR better experience. We wonât be back. Not worth the $75 it cost for two steaks, 2 baked potatoes, a horrible glass of wine and a very...
Read moreLetâs see, where shall I start. It took about 10-15 minutes just to get seated, no one at the front area when we walked in. The waitress finally came about 15 minutes after that. I ordered one of their specialty drinks and the waitress came back with a totally different drink, saying the bartender mentioned he didnât have the alcohol for the original drink I ordered. Come back to the customer and communicate that instead of bringing another drink. We ordered appetizers including the spinach artichoke dip. Itâs served with a side of chips. When the waiter brought it to the table he said he accidentally dropped half of the chips and he would bring some more chips. Took forever for him to go that. The dip I still had left got cold so I asked our waitress for another new dip at no cost, she said she would have to check with her manager. That dip didnât come out til we received our food. My son got a cheeseburger and the patty was so small inside the bun. The restaurant was dirty. There was butter smeared on our pepper container and the table itself felt grimey n dirty. Donât even get me started on the salad bar. There was food spilled/dropped everywhere. I heard another customer say, âoh my gosh this is nastyâ referring to the salad bar. The very âunprofessionalâ I guess manager came to the table to ask about what was wrong with the artichoke dip. She came over very rude and didnât even greet us or tell us who she is. I looked at her and said, âand you are?â I told her what happened with the dip and she was like, âoh I just wanted to see what was wrongâ and that was it. No, âIâm sorry for the inconvenienceâ, nothing. We will never come back to this location and I will not recommend this location to anyone. Iâd be surprised if this location was still open a...
