I had my daughters Birthday Party here with the Basic Package..... When I called I was told decorations were going to be taken care of and that pizza and drinks were going to be provided for the kids with this package. There was a maximum of 10 kids and 20 adults. Each additional kid is $10. That was fine.
When I got there the kids were free to run for a good hour before pizza was served. It was a hot day and all the kids faces were pink from playing and having fun.
They all sat down to eat.... The kid size cups are very small and of course the kids drank that up in a sip! When I WENT TO ASK for a refill on the kids drinks - you are CHARGED - that is NOT included in the $185 package you pay for. ALSO what they don't explain to you is that the kids only get ONE SLICE OF PIZZA!! You can not buy an extra slice for the hungry kids ( that have been in the sun playing hard ) you have to buy an entire pizza for $12!! They explain NONE of this over the phone to prepare you!!
Basically all you are paying for in your $185 package is a $4 extra charge per kid for the entrance and a table to have your party at - that is decorated!
So if you are a parent wanting to have your childs party here at the Basic Package ( I wish someone would have explained this to me ) you need to ask if you can bring a ice chest of drinks for the kids and adults or have that set up before you get there. Also note - they help with NOTHING because you did not pay for the "entertainer" in the Basic Package.
You should also know that the "game" that the Basic Package claims you get to play is your child and friends to go up to a pirate and the pirate throws a toy fishing pole over the fence that brings up a toy for the kid??? I don't know if you would consider that a game, but I did not. Again - I wish this was explained to me when I called to have my daughters party here!!
I would NOT recommend a party here. While the kids had fun - it is far cheaper and more worth your money to just pay to take your kid and friends to play and then go home and have cake and ice cream.
Again - had any of this been explained to me over the phone when calling to have my daughters party here I could have been WAY more prepared and not feel like I had been completely ripped off - or gone to ASI that would have wound up costing me $36 less and had an...
Read moreI hosted my son’s first birthday there, and we all had a great time. The animals were so cute, and the staff were super nice. However, there were some things we didn’t like about the environment.
First, the flies were absolutely horrible! I know it’s a farm, and the flies are really bad this year, but if you’re going to host parties and have food and drinks, you have to find a way to control it. They had fly bait somewhere around the area where you eat, so you could smell the awful fly bait. The flies were so bad that we rushed to eat and do his cake. We didn’t even open presents there because it was just so awful; we just wanted to get out of there.
Second, they had stray cats there, which is great—I love that they’re giving them a home. But I’m sure those cats use the sandbox as a litter box; it’s just in their nature. So don’t let your kids put their hands or anything else in their mouths while there.
Third, when I booked the party, I saw on their website that you could bring drinks. I even sent a screenshot of it to my mom. But when I arrived, I saw a sign that said no drinks. I was confused and searched their website but couldn’t find that information anymore. I guess they changed the rules and didn’t notify us, so we all had to pay for drinks on a very hot day. Yes, our party package came with three pitchers of drinks, but because of how hot it was, they weren’t going to stay cool, and we didn’t want flies in our pitchers or cups. It would have been nice to bring our cooler because I felt absolutely horrible that my friends and family had to pay for drinks.
Fourth, I knew what was included in the package, but I think all packages should come with all activities that they have there. Instead, you have to pay for everything. I’m glad my family and friends enjoyed themselves, but I’m sad that I had to rush the rest of my son's birthday party because of the flies and the heat, and having to pay for water. I think if you pay for a package, you should be able to bring a cooler of drinks.
To sum it all up, I think it’s fun to go there individually, but maybe not to host parties until they...
Read moreWe drove 1 and 45 minutes to visit 7 Acre Wood after hearing great things and seeing beautiful pictures online. We were excited for a fun day with my two young children (19 months and 4 years old). Unfortunately, the reality was nothing like what was promised.
It had rained a little before we arrived, but not enough to close the park. The clerk still charged us the full $25, including a big bag of feed for the animals. He gave no warning about limited operations—just casually said “everyone left.” I assumed he meant guests, not attendants or crew members.
Once inside, it quickly became clear there was no staff anywhere on the grounds. This meant:
No one for pony rides
No one to start mini golf or zip lining
No one to answer questions or help guests
No supervision at any animal enclosure
The bathrooms were in terrible condition. The clerk even told us to “shoo the animals when they get in your way” as if they were trained to obey. That comment was disturbing enough, but what happened next was worse:
As soon as we walked up to the petting area, over 20 goats swarmed us—jumping high enough to nearly clear the gate. With my small children right there, I was genuinely concerned for their safety. There were also donkeys and llamas, all in the same over-crowded pen, with no staff to manage them. This was not a welcoming environment! It was overwhelming and UNSAFE!
The whole place felt abandoned. No one was there to guide us, make us feel welcome, or even ensure guest safety. The only employee I saw was the man at the entrance, and when we left after barely 10 minutes, he sarcastically said, “Gone so soon?” It felt condescending and unprofessional.
I left feeling like my money was taken for nothing in return. This wasn’t just disappointing—it felt like a complete waste of time and a potential safety hazard. With the travel time we invested, we would have been better off going somewhere...
