I never thought that I would find a place that takes advantage of its customers more than Gamestop but here it is. I never heard about this place until I used google to find a place that buys DVDs. So. I went there to unload some. Now I know that I was not going to get a fair price and by that I mean considering the demand for the dvd and if it was a recent release or not. When I first went I got 48.00 for 10 seasons of one show and 8 seasons of another and maybe 10-15 movies. I was told that they paid more for boxed seasons but 25 cents for movies. It didn't depend on if it was relatively new or not or even if it was bluray. That their sale price for movies were $5.00, which isn't true. All you have to do is walk the sale floor to see that. The second time it was lower at $17.00 with almost the same amount of boxed seasons and movies. I asked about this and was told that it was 25 cents a disc. As appalling low as this is there are usually at least 4 discs per season. Now they keep giving me different reasons or store policy why. If your going to run a business treat your customers with respect and don't lie to them or take advantage of them. Now I know most of you won't care about this and still go there and buy from them because you don't think it will affect...
Read moreWe purchased a one piece starter pack at the beginning of this week. Then we found that exact same starter pack for half the price at so many other merchants. With our receipt, we went to the store today to return it for a store credit which is stated at the bottom of the receipt. We were told by one of the workers there that this item, although it’s unused and unopened, doesn’t qualify for a return. She was fumbling with her words and didn’t even really seem to understand what a warranty was, and I honestly called her out on their deceptive verbiage in terms of returns and exchanges. Nowhere on the receipt does it say that this item wouldn’t qualify for a return. She kept trying to explain What a warranty was to me and warranty is normally are for electronic items which this obviously isn’t. All we wanted was a store credit because nowhere on the receipt did it state that this item wouldn’t qualify for a store credit and even when we purchased it they didn’t advise us of that as well which is extremely deceptive.
Beware if you’re going to buy cards here or anything that is not electronic they won’t tell you this but it’s not eligible for a store credit and they’re going to charge you double then what a normal...
Read moreI went in a couple times to look at their games and movies and such. At first glance everything seemed good and normal. A good selection of games and movies and several copies of each. Which would be good if all of them worked properly. I bought several games and movies there and only a third of them worked. They were badly scratched and only got through maybe half of the game before it messed up. I am not one to complain usually, but when I waste money on items that don't even work. I get frustrated. Also looked for a few dreamcast games to buy for my friend as a bday present they had only one sports game, but fifteen copies of that game good luck being disversified in the gaming world!!! On the bright side though if you want to sell games that dont even work any more or games that have a lot of scratches/burns/etc. then this is the place to get money. They apparently never check games to see if they even work. But if you want to go to an honest establishment then I reccommend not to go here, but to go to one of the other gaming stores around town. They will never have my...
