I ordered delivery through Door Dash and recieved my order in about 30 minutes so i am not rating the service or atmosphere here. The food. The food was just so awful. We had never tried this place before and there were so many stellar reviews that I thought we were safe. However, all I have now is regret and a lighter wallet. I ordered the enchiladas plate & a guacamole scoop for myself. My husband and father in law got the chimichanga plate and my kids got the chicken nuggets and chicken quesadillas and the churros to split for dessert. I'm not sure if their food holds up better at the restaurant on a hot plate as opposed to a styrofoam container but when I tell you everything was watery, EVERYTHING in my container was watery and that made it really weird and not enjoyable and it all just tasted off. Apart from the moisture I did not request, my rice had no flavor at all it was tragically bland I kept eating it hoping for some sort of something but no, just more watery rice. I found it odd that the guacamole scoop tasted like just straight up avocado, as if they had just scooped it out and mashed it up a little and called it guacamole it did have a tiny amount of salad that came from a bag to go with it which also seemed odd because I don't usually have red cabbage with guacamole and I don't think I will ever again. As for the unfortunate enchiladas themselves the chicken was very dry and quite chewy and completely unseasoned and there was barely any cheese inside to help the poor chicken out. The sauce was incredible in the sense that it's incredible that they call it enchilada sauce, I kept looking for any whisper of Chile powder, garlic, salt ANY tiny little hint of flavor but there was nothing but more watery flavorless disappointment. I was also not a fan of the queso or the stale chips they sent, the queso just like everything else tasted bland...how do you serve bland queso and feel good about it? My husband and father in law said their food was bland and watery as well. The kids seemed to like their food so at least I didn't have to fix them dinner still. The saddest thing by far though was that they didn't send the syrups for the churros but honestly I'm not even sure it would've saved them. They were so hard they were almost inedible I feel like I could've made better ones myself at home and I think they came from a frozen bag which I would expect from Taco Bell but not for the price I paid. Extremely unsatisfied with the quality of this establishment and will never be ordering...
Read morePoor service night for the first time I have eaten at Rancho Grande since it first opened 20 or so years ago and always had great service. My wife Ashley and I arrived right before 9pm and asked the lady at the desk what time they closed and if we had time to eat ...(?) She said we had time to eat .... Ashley ordered the Large Nachos Supreme and I ordered the Beef Fajitas which were great. There was only one other group around us that was a birthday party at a big table right beside our booth in arms reach that was finishing their meal bc it was close to closing time .... The waitress knew this would be a big tip table obviously and waited on them accordingly giving them a lot of attention .... taking pictures for them and laughing or attending to their every needs. After setting us and taking our order which came pretty quick .... We asked her for more chips and salsa... She said "OK" and she never brought any.l but came taking pics for table beside us. Our waitress did not come to check on us once as my cup was empty and salsa bowls for over 10 minutes before I walked behind the counter to ask someone in the kitchen if we could have our salsa and water refilled. The buser young lady came to take care of us. As our waitress was waiting on the table next to us a few minutes later we asked her if she could get us some chips because ours was totally empty. We waited for over 5 minutes and no chips and asked the buser lady for chips and to fill the green salsa which she did for us quickly. Our waitress never came to check on us or apologize for her poor service until she brought the check. We were requesting things from others a few other times too. After she brought the check we asked for a carry out box and to fill out cups again which she did for the first time as we were ready to leave. She started making excuses for the last 30 minutes of no service from her but she had to wait on the only other table next to us and take pictures for them .... If I were management I would give her 1 warning for such poor negligence in representing their good restaurant then fire her for intentionally giving poor service if it happened again. I told the lady at the cash register as we paid then the manager. I gave the buser gal her tip who waited on us promptly the 2 times we ask her to do our waitress job! Very good place to eat but needs to weed out a bad waitress ... I think her name was Carol (?) Enjoyed the...
Read moreWe have been to this restaurant many times. The food is always very good and presented nicely. The service for the most part has been good to excellent. However, this evening my wife and I and 2 friends went to Rancho Grande - Conroe. We were seated and received our salsa and chips, drinks and menus by a very nice young lady. We waited over 10 minutes for our waiter to take our order. The food was delivered in a timely manner. I had asked the waiter, Adrian for a side of jalapeños, which I NEVER received! We ate our entire meal and our waiter NEVER checked on us. We were out of chips. We drinks were empty, but NO WAITER! We had finished our meal and had to wait another 10 minutes to get our check. The service was horrible and because of LACK OF SERVICE, our entire experience was negatively effected! This may not sound bad, but it was!! We flagged down the manager on duty. What made matter worst is THE MANAGER DID NOT RESOLVE OUR ISSUES! He did say he was sorry (didn’t sound sincere). There are many ways he could have made our visit more acceptable, by at least offering us a free soft drink or comp meal. But he did not! Him not making us feel that his involvement would improve future experiences, I now question whether this manager or this Rancho Grande wants or deserves our business? This is Texas. We have hundreds of Tex-Mex restaurants to choose from. Does Rancho Grande want our future business or yours? EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN SERVICE AND...
