Northside Filipinos (and Filipino food lovers), rejoice! PINAS Asian Store in Conroe just might have everything you need. It’s only 15-20min north of The Woodlands, and I am so happy it’s so accessible for suburban residents like myself. They have a VAST selection of Filipino ingredients & snacks (I even found some harder to find items here), and they also offer a small selection of prepared food in their attached Tap Si Han cafe. It isn’t a grand buffet, and the selection changes regularly (with the exception of lumpia and BBQ kebabs offered daily). But, it is quality over quantity… because everything we tried was delicious! *Worth highlighting: We had some of the juiciest lechon I've had anywhere in the city (pork belly style available on weekends), and our family is in love with the ube cake! I met the NICEST owners [Joel & Jen] and was helped by friendly & knowledgeable employees [shoutout to Noel for helping me carry my goodies to the car]. They have karaoke mics turned on all day, if you’d like to indulge in a little musical fun while you’re dining in. They have an impressive catering menu, and you can reserve spots for a personalized/customizable “Boodle Fight” (IYKYK!!!). And in case you’re wondering, the shelves were well organized and the establishment is very clean. Mabuhay!!!

They even carry the low carb noodle brand that I like. I was glad to see that they also offer balikbanyan box shipping too. No more driving to The Woodlands or Houston.

This place is the BEST! The owner and staff are helpful and friendly. I get all my ingredients for my favorite dishes here like Pancit Canton or Lumpia Shanghai.
