My Husband and I had to say goodbye to Anakin... my love for only 4 years but 16 years for my husband. Dr. Rivard was our Liason for Anakinâs passing and we couldnât ask for a better doctor. When the time came and we were both holding our little one until his last heartbeat, I noticed Dr. Rivard respectfully step away from us immediately while we said our goodbyes and crossed the room away from us with her hands held behind her back and her own emotions showing in a concerned countenance. Through all of our years finding doctors, (mostly my husbandâs) weâve never found a doctor as caring as her. We received a hand written card signed by her afterwards which we know she signed. Her encouragement and honesty was greatly appreciated. We wanted to hold on, but we knew it was time, and she gently confirmed what we already knew. She gave us all the options and allowed us to make our own decisions. We held onto him probably a week more than we should have, but we couldnât say goodbye... but Dr. Rivard was understanding and helped us know we werenât the only ones who do that. It took about a month for me to be comfortable with writing a review... one that I thought I wouldnât cry at, but it hurt just remembering his final days and I did cry... but through these tears I know that you were an absolute Angel in the departing of our sweet little guy. You literally helped us say goodbye in the best way possible. Thank you so much in your service to us and all those who donât realize how terribly heartbreaking your position is to have to do what you do for us. Alvin and I are forever grateful for your professionalism and your heart for helping us through our journey with Anakin.
Love...
Read moreI could not say enough amazing things about Animal Care Clinic. After a bad experience at another vet, the team here has really helped heal not only my animals trauma, but also mine when it comes to vet experiences. Dr. Castillo is incredible! She is kind, knowledgeable, and patient with all three of my babies. I have been bringing my cats here since they were babies, and I have also brought my dog here as well.
My dog has some past trauma with vets. I have no clue what happened at her previous vet, but my once very happy-go-lucky pup who loved her vets became absolutely terrified of them. This is VERY out of character for my girl, as she loves everyone. After this, we made the switch to Animal Care Clinic and Iâm SO happy we did. Stella is still over coming her fears, but Dr. Castillo was so patient and kind with her, even getting on the floor to try and make my girl more comfortable. By the end of the visit, Stella was in her lap very happy to get snuggles and treats from her. This was a HUGE step forward considering at the beginning of her visit, Stella didnât want anything to do with her. (To no fault of Dr. Castillo). The fact that she took the time to create a positive experience for my dog meant everything to me.
The care, dedication, kindness, patience, and understanding this entire team shows is truly amazing, and does not go unnoticed. I am so grateful for Animal Care Clinic, and all they do...
Read moreHad a surgery for my dog scheduled for today so I proceeded to take her to this Vet. It was as easy as me just handing over the leash and leaving. As I sat in my car, I started wondering, âAm I not going to be briefed on the procedure or any potential dangers?â So I went back into Animal Care Clinic and asked if I was going to get any pamphlets or briefed on this procedure. The front desk advised me no but the doctor can call me if I want. I left, waited for the call. Dr. Beckman did call me and relayed some alarming news in regards to some potential dangers of this procedure. Mind you, he communicated these dangers to me literally moments before he was going to begin surgery. It would have been nice to know about these risks days before the procedure to give me an opportunity to do research and just to think it over. The issue isâŚI am in a service dog program for wounded veterans and one of the organizationâs major stipulations is that my dog has to be spayed so itâs not like I can continue to prolong this procedure. When I asked Dr. Beckman why I was not briefed on any potential dangers of this procedure in a timely manner, he responded, âI did not know I was performing her surgery until today.â Not sure how I feel about that because I sure as heck knew for the past few weeks! I am very disappointed in this clinic as I have about 4 different vets that I use and Animal Care Clinic...
