admissions office
I’ve come here twice this week, and while the staff is helpful when you get to the counter— they don’t specify where you need to stand very well. The first time I was standing in the main line waiting. A lot of new people had gotten in line- so when they suddenly told us to form different lines based on our needs, I got pushed back and had to wait twice as long to get helped. Multiple people behind me jumped ahead.
It happened again today when I came in to try and get an ID. There’s only one line for admissions, I stand in it for about 10 minutes. The guy in front of me went up to a window, and they ended up sending him to the next window to get a picture ID. I was called up and said I needed the same, the woman at the counter just then pointed out where she needed her specific line to be, and before I could even move multiple people rushed over and I didn’t get any help.
It’s stressful enough already for all of us, can you just please be more specific on where you need people to stand or put stickers down. For this to happen twice and for no one to help when it happens just feels discouraging and discriminatory to me...
Read moreThe Center for Water Studies at Cuyamaca is a sham. There is NO hands on training except in backflow prevention and lab. I was a student at Cuyamaca from January 2016 until June 2020. They offer NO specialized tutoring for this program. The limited class offerings make full time attendance for financial aid purposes nearly impossible. Too many conflicts, too few options. Cuyamaca's financial aid office left me in financial ruin, an alleged computer error. I was awarded a scholarship that was supposed to be disbursed to me in April 2018. I did not receive it until July 2018 despite repeated pleas to the financial aid office, a dean and a vice president of...
Read moreThe college has a high potential among the competition and it is still developing to this day. Comparing Cuyamaca with Grossmont, Cuyamaca stands out as a leader in terms of student support in all aspects, the quality of the buildings and the teaching system. The staff is always treated with respect. The people around are friendly and accommodating. I recommend this college to those who want to attend college for the first time after graduating from high school. This college is especially the best solution for transferring to any university. I have been studying here for 1 year now. Haven't regretted a single second...
