I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at Staples, 2879 Jamacha Road, El Cajon, CA 92019. The so-called supervisor Lara Burbrus was shockingly rude, unprofessional, and flat-out disrespectful. After making me wait far too long, I politely mentioned that I had a meeting and asked if she was going to help me. Her response? In front of her employees, she snapped in a nasty, condescending tone: “If you don’t like it, go to another Staples.”
I live in Los Angeles and have never in my life experienced customer service this disgraceful. And to make matters worse, when I later spoke with the general manager, Sharon Churchill, instead of apologizing or even listening, she hung up the phone on me. Absolutely unbelievable.
This is completely unacceptable behavior from anyone in customer service, but especially from management. Lara Burbrus and Sharon Churchill are a terrible reflection of Staples as a company. Read moreI went In to make copies using my own watermarked papers. The person behind the counter was helpful in giving me directions as far as telling me what options needed to be used. After spending .12 for a test run. I noticed a dark line on the bottom of my copy indicating the page I used was not alined properly. I corrected the problem only to learn that the printer had made a vertical smudge on my original! When it feed it through the scanner. Now the 20 copies I made have a dark line along the center. When I approched the assistant, she said nothing and did not offer me a discount for my now ruined paper!!. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel robed and under appreciated as a walk in customer. Read moreNick, Ty and Jessica are wonderful staff members (they all work very hard). Jessica helped me this evening with printing and scanning, she is so kind, professional and knowledgeable. I was also at Staples last week. I used their high-tech water remover machine because I got water in my phone (for the second time - I used the machine about 8 months ago as well. Both times my phone was completely blacked out, could no longer light up.) The machine successfully removed the water from my phone both times! Amazing invention. Takes about 30 minutes to an hour. The service is guaranteed. If your phone doesn't come back to life, you get your money back. My recommendation is always get the phone to Staples as soon as possible to prevent water damage.
