Atrocious service. Incompetent and illogical. Absolutely the worst, wasted 90 mins of my time having me go back and forth to get a simple Fairfax county document notarized when I was short on time. Wifeās signature was on document beforehand because she was out of the country which I explained, they told me thatās not allowed. I said fine, printed new copy and have it notarized for me only. Then the nightmare happened - they start filling stuff wrong and CROSSING STUFF OUT EVERYWHERE. It was fine to cross out the second resident signature, since she wasnāt present. I said okay, lease was modified, no problem. But then these two start crossing out leasing office signature line portions like some sort of crime was about to be committed in front of their eyes. Silly folks with no logical reasoning. Note to corporate - stop allowing employees to write fake 5 star reviews (we all see it, at least try to mix up the verbiage on those reviews if youāre going to be blatantly deceiving) and TRAIN BOTH NEW AND CURRENT STAFF ON PROPERLY NOTARIZING DOCUMENTS! Typos everywhere. Wrong expiration year 2023 written, mismatching notary stamp of 2026. Didnāt even know that the blank spots are to be filled out with CITY/COUNTY OF CITY/COUNTY NAME, followed by STATE and wrote in STATE OF STATE in the blanks when state was already written at the end. Crossed out necessary lines that were to be signed by the leasing management office because they knew it all but couldnāt do a single thing right. Didnāt even bother to look at the lease I had on my phone or google what āauthorized property representativeā referred to on the county document being notarized. Told me to go to UPS because theyāre a āfinancial institution with strict standards.ā Silly folks without brains or common sense. Went to UPS, paid my $10, wasted 2 hours in total because of incompetent staff at BOFA. Canāt believe Iāve been banking with these folks for almost 20 years. This experience made me want to switch banks which I most certainly will after this. Told me theyāve notarized documents āa thousand timesā and the authorized property rep signature/date line below the notary portion has to be crossed out because the property leasing management person isnāt present in front of the notary. WHAT? But only my income/signature is being verified and witnessed. The document being notarized is required by the leasing office thru the county. STOP CROSSING STUFF OUT THATāS IRRELEVANT TO WHAT IS BEING NOTARIZED AND HAVE MORE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. BE MORE COMPETENT AND HAVE SOME COMMON SENSE & COMPASSION. Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust had a bad experience with this Branch today... I came to ask about my card why I can't use it for online transfer or purchase what soever that's why I came and ask politely. The first girl assisted me in the Entrance is quite helpful but I think she is not that sure for what she gonna do.She said she gonna asked for help.Left me for few minutes maybe 10-15minuted and assist other customer and after that saw me that im a little bit impatience waiting so she said she will be right back.. Luckily another later came and asked if what she can do again I explain and she asked somebody to assist me. When I went inside those cubicles(office) and older guy assisted mw and asked.Explain again my concern about my card.The way he talked to me it seems that I'm stupid(lol).He said your card is ATM so it's only intended for saving etc..I said I got it..coz When I came to get this I told them I want my own acct since we have joint and other acct with them.. Then he checked that do you know your card is link in your joint etc...a lot to say.. The thing is he is not hearing me out..I'm trying to explain to him what I want for my card..He don't give solutions he is just blaming that why I don't know that my card is only ATM or what.. I just need my card to change it to visa card where I can use it for purchase or transfer not ONLY for savings..but he seems so Mean.. If working in customer service I know you shld give solution to whatever our concern s not just blame us or whatever. I told him I don't know why they gave me that card where infact I told them before I need my own acct that I can use for transfer or any online transactions. Then he said well I don't know i'm not here when you got that..like the hell.. So I ended up the convo amd just left. Thinking of Closing my accts with them if this is the case always.they are not helping .. Pls can someone assist me without this type of person. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the drive thru friday evening, just before 6pm. The "closed" sign was lit instead of the "open" sign. As it was before closing time, I waited there for a minute or two, figuring someone got ahead of themselves. The one teller I could see ignored me until her customer said something to her. She turned, looked at me, and did nothing. Not even a wave to motion me inside.When I went inside, I waited for several minutes in line to be waited on-by the same teller who ignored me. When I asked about the drive thru being closed I was told that due to insufficient staff, they "would be sporadically closing" it because the two tellers inside "couldn't handle both the lobby and the drive thru." They could not put a sign in the window, either, because it "wasn't approved by corporate." So, let me get this right. Bank of America, in business to provide services to it's customers, has employees incapable of being busy? Really? I know for a fact they are full of crap. I was a bank teller some time ago. I opened up and ran-by myself- both a walk up window and a drive thru. Yes, I was busy. But my customers also understood that if there was another customer, it would take longer than expected to do their transaction. Bank of America, get your tellers off their butts, get their arms off their counters and make them speed...
