I stopped by on a trip to DC for a casual summer roll to go. Because I’m special I bought another summer roll from the business a few stores down. This one took the win, so much so that I’m writing a review, who writes a review for a summer roll? When it’s that good, Me. If you’ve stuck around this far I’m guessing you’re a summer roll connoisseur. Keep reading. The comparison went as follows: Pho 102 summer vs Other *Pho 102 the rolls came in a smaller package, more environmentally friendly. *Pho 102’s roll weights twice as much as their competitor, keeping me fuller for longer. *Pho 102 had TWO peanut sauce containers vs 1 sweet and sour *pho 102 had like 3 times as much tofu and it was cooked, nice and warm. *Pho 102 rolls cost less. *Pho 102 already has a vegan roll option so it saves time and I don’t have to explain myself, giving me more free time to live my best life. The verdict is clear. This has been one my favorite rolls thus far, great job y’all.

If you want to try Pho and you've never done it before, this is a great place for starters. The chicken pho (you get to choose white meat or dark meat) was a great big bowl o' comfort food. Broth, noodles, chicken...it was pretty simple stuff, but delicious. A generous side of beansprouts, jalapenos, limes, and basil are provided for you to dress up your pho how you like it. Big ole bottles of sirracha and hoisin on the table too. They eye round steak is pink - too pink for my own tastes - but my daughter's skirt steak was done through. I couldn't finish a small bowl, nor could most of my family finish their smalls, but folks were putting down the the larger sink-sized bowls like it was nobody's business. Goals! Also - the spring and summer rolls were great. The peanut sauce for the summer rolls was quite tasty, but our crowd preferred the spring rolls overall.

I've eaten here a couple of times and I regret not finding this one sooner. I have yet to have a bad bowl of pho in NOVA, but I think this may be my favorite so far. Really generous portions of garnishes, noodles and meat. The large is so filling I never finish. But all bowls of pho are measured on their broth and even with all the generous portions of the expensive and filling things, this broth really resonates with me. The aromatics shine through and compliments the beef broth. The crispy spring rolls are also larger than many other Vietnamese restaurants, but one minor complaint is they are very oily. The taste and texture is good though and the filling is definitely uniquely theirs. If you find yourself out by the Dulles airport or the Air and Space Museum, it's worth your time to check this place out.

Yesterday I decided to pick up dinner for the extended family and got a substantial number of items. I enjoy the richness of the broth and as its allergy friendly it's safe for my grandsons! I also purchased the chicken wings which are a favorite of my daughters. I added the summer rolls as having the dual proteins (beef and shrimp) are a bonus! The options available on the menu answer the needs of my family's palates providing the pho, both beef and chicken, as well as the seasoned pork or lemongrass chicken to satisfy my picky family. I also got a variety of condiments... of course the standards of hoisin and sriracha. But I found out about the other options saté a combo of red pepper flakes and chili oil and crushed lemongrass in a chili oil! This is so good mixed with the dipping sauce for the summer rolls or added to the pho. The staff was so accommodating, especially Koi (sp?) who helped me by carrying my items to my car and made multiple trips since I asked for additional basil after the fact. The family enjoyed the dinner immensely! I also ordered additional items for dinner...

Cat's out of the bag; solid pho here's so good, they're even busy for early lunch!! ...so nicking a table wasn't looking easy but one serendipitously opened up just as we were, lucky us. Lots of sods milling about just after.

Warmly welcomed with friendly well intentioned but overextended service, the sort that forgets things or comes late with refills or condiments or whatever. We had our own small issues as did others who weren't as good natured about it.

Cha Gio, their take on crispy spring rolls was nothing short of awesome. Deliciously crispy with a special flaky way about it. And probably the largest ones I've seen that weren't egg rolls. Very Nice.

Veggie pho's broth was wondefully rich, gloriously steeped. Large bowl was too much, enough to stuff me up and leave me with a good bit of takeaway. And they weren't cheap with the veggies either; lots of big oversized ones. I don't think I've ever seen tofu slabs that thick in pho...
