Not what it used to be. I loved this spot when it first opened. It was a great quick lunch stop where you ordered at the counter and waited for a few minutes (like 4-5) to get your meal to dine in or take to go. Prices were fair and food was great. Stark contrast now. The prices have jumped to $16.43 (including tax) for one chicken kabob plate, no drink, apps, or dips. Their was no one dining there and no line and it took 13 minutes to get food. Seems like they have turned more into a sit down restaurant type spot with those types of prices and waits, which is fine, but not what you expect at a location with a walk up to order counter. Definitely liked it better before this shift. The food is great and vibrant, it just feels like it’s having an identity crisis as a restaurant.
*response to the restaurant reply- I have ordered delivery to my office multiple times, but, delivery prices and tipping make the price for one meal now absolutely bonkers so I will not be doing that ever again. The last time I attempted to order through the online ordering system for pick up, it was not working. I put in my order and got all the way to the payment portion and it just wouldn’t go through or give me any confirmation that it had or hadn’t processed. After fighting with it for a while, closing out and retrying twice with a different card and then waiting to see if an email was coming through with a confirmation…the whole time in fear that I may have accidentally ordered multiple times… I did just call to find out if it had gone through, which it hadn’t, and placed my order via phone. All in all my recent experiences have just been quite negative in all regards (except food taste) which is highly disappointing because I really did enjoy eating there before. Aside from sit down dining or call ahead ordering it doesn’t seem like a practical choice anymore, as expressed in my...
Read moreBEST CHICKEN SANDWICH EVERRRR!!!
Hands down the best or one the best chicken sandwiches you have ever eaten! Notice I said chicken sandwich and not “hot” chicken sandwich as this is more of a mild spicy chicken sandwich. Lightly battered and lightly deep fried just for the crispy edges with TWO HUGE slabs of REAL chicken meat. This isn’t the fake patty stuff from McDonalds or Burger King. Not sure how they do it but this is the most juicy tender meaty chicken in between two sweet burger buns topped with a house made savory coleslaw mayo with pickle slices for a nice kick. They put Chick-fil-A and Popeyes chicken sandwiches to shame. You won’t be disappointed!
I would also highly recommend the Sheesh Loaded Fries with Beef and Lamb Gyro meat. Generous slices of gyro meat over a bed of fresh made to order fries that are always crispy. Slathered with a variety of sweet and savory sauces and topped with some pickled vegetables for contrasting flavor, this appetizer itself is worthy of being its own meal.
Each dish/meal comes with two sauces on the side:
White sauce - A homemade refreshing sauce similar to tzatziki, yogurt, and slightly ranch-y. You can put this sauce on anything and it will taste good.
Green sauce - A little watery, spicy, and slightly sour sauce that gives a nice contrasting flavor to whatever it is paired or dipped with.
The restaurant itself is very clean and surprisingly modern. Getting take out is a fast in and out, ready in 10-15 minutes from ordering on the phone or online. The manager/owner is usually manning the front register so he can address all your needs and any questions you may...
Read moreAlthough the food is excellent the customer service is lackluster. My wife ordered a large order for a party we were having. I picked up the order and asked to ensure all items were included. I was told there was nothing to worry about and everything was in the order. As I am placing the food out for my guests, I noticed we are missing the chick peas. We called the restaurant to explain we are missing the chick peas and asked if they would deliver the missing item as we can not leave in the middle of our party. They informed us they could not deliver the food and we would have to come and pick it up. This is a huge inconvenience as our guests now have incomplete meals and I have to leave the party to get the missing item. Not only did they refuse to deliver it they refused to work with me to make things right. They offered hummus on the house which I did not need or want and it probably cost them about $2 to make. I went back to the store to pick up the chick peas and asked for some type of compensation or a gesture to make things right. The employee argued with me and asked “where are you from? Are you Pakistani?” At which I replied, “why does it matter where I’m from? Would it make a difference? At the end nothing was done to help me as my guests waited to their food which was now cold. My family and I have been coming here for a long time and sadly this will probably be the last time that my friends and family will come to this...
