I booked an escape room (private) for myself and 2 other family members and our experience was thoroughly enjoyable. The only drawback was that we wish it had lasted longer. The mysteries to solve were challenging and appropriate for the theme we chose but everyone wished it had lasted longer. Each step in our mystery was difficult and the process from start to finish was well structured for a 60 minute session (we completed ours with about 10 minutes to spare). However the time flew by, and we wished that it had gone longer.
Andrew (our host) did a great job of introducing us to the room we chose ( Enchanted Castle) and explained everything quite well. But he (thankfully) didn't provide any hints on where / how to start. It was totally up to us to figure out the sequence of steps needed to reach the goal. And the intro video (prerecorded and about 90 seconds long) provided a good primer for the room and helped to set the mood and tone.
We all are looking forward to our next visit. For those considering an escape room as a group experience, I would highly recommend Bond's. And for the team at Bond's my only suggestion would be to offer some challenges that last longer than an hour (if story line and room staging permit). We genuinely wished that the time had not flown...

From the moment we stepped into Sleepover Slaughterhouse, we knew we were in for something special. It’s not just an escape room; it’s a heart-pounding experience that fuses horror and cunning puzzles into one seamless thrill ride. The setting was perfect, with every detail crafted to immerse us deeper into a narrative that was both eerie and enthralling.
The puzzles within were brilliantly conceived, logical, and added to the storyline, challenging us to think on our feet and collaborate effectively. The best part? We navigated through the challenges without needing any hints, which are available for those who want them. This made our victory even sweeter.
A special thanks to our host, Justin. Their enthusiasm set the stage for our adventure, and their skillful storytelling added depth to our experience. It’s not often that you find a host who can elevate an escape room experience quite like they did.
For an evening that promises suspense, intellectual stimulation, and an unforgettable atmosphere, Sleepover Slaughterhouse is the destination. We walked away with an adrenaline rush that lasted for hours and a story that we’ll be telling for quite some time. Don’t miss out on this exemplary escape...
Read moregood for beginners, not fun for people experienced in escape rooms. death by chocolate was rated as advanced diffculty but i feel it should be beginner/intermediate
room design and decor was old and outdated, pretty basic technology, puzzles were so simple and had very minimal relation to theme; its rated as "advanced" difficulty but i would say this room was a 5/10 difficulty (intermediate).
we got stuck for a good 5 minutes because one of the mechanisms got stuck (old?faulty?) and didnt give us an object, and we didnt know we were missing that certain object until we asked for clarification/help lol.
i give this 2 stars because my friends did some other rooms in the fairfax location (evil AI and white house) and they apparently had good technology, good mechanisms, good lore immersion and set building, and we were looking at faded paint on the walls in our room. kind of a letdown lol.
good for beginners if youve never done any escape room before.......
