We were accommodated for a party of seven even though the online registration only goes up to six. We got a couple of kids with us but the server was patient and friendly. The Korean barbecue cauliflower was excellent, a little spice, balanced by some sweetness. Cauliflower was not mushy and still had a firmness and a crunch texture mimicking wings. It was so good a couple people ordered another offering to go. The egg roll sampler was really good. The avocado egg roll ain't like a nice guacamole. The cheeseburger egg roll was Hardy and the cheese binder was very creamy. I didn't like the sauce for the avocado egg roll it was a little too sweet. I applaud their attempt at a chili Southwest egg roll not the quality of Chili's but good enough for an appetizer sampler. No one tried the fourth one but I believe it was chicken and some type of pico. One guess had the herb crusted salmon with asparagus and they substituted out the mashed potatoes for cream spinach. I'm not familiar with how that dish is originally presented and played it but the way that the kitchen plated it with the substitution it looked five star and with the sauce on the bottom of the salmon the herbs or very flavorful on top making that crust adding another level of texture. The asparagus was perfectly cooked tinder yet firm. I was jealous. I had the grilled branzino with the mashed potatoes and the green beans. The green beans were well seasoned, the mashed potatoes were hardy they were creamy they were a massive portion size. LeBron xeno was cooked well the crust was very good adding texture It could have had an additional bit of salt but I was able to add that table side. One knock I had was that I asked for ginger ale and I'm guessing that they don't have that on fountain so they brought me a glass and a bottle that I'm guessing that they have at the bar. I hate having bottles or empty cans from the drink being poured into a glass at the table. For dessert I had the key lime cheesecake, the tartness on that key lime flavor and the soft rich creaminess of the whipped cream was amazing. The second whipped cream that sits off to the side was was a completely different whipped cream that was on the cheesecake and it was unnecessary. I would have preferred just two of the sweet creamy frosting dollops. All in all an amazing visit. I've visited the cheesecake factory a number of times at a number of locations and have had good experiences but this one was stellar especially considering the size of the party and the...
Read moreMy recent venture into The Cheesecake Factory in Clarendon was a culinary journey that, unfortunately, fell short of the expectations associated with this iconic establishment. While The Cheesecake Factory is renowned for its extensive menu and indulgent desserts, my experience highlighted several aspects that detracted from the overall dining satisfaction.
One of the prominent features that emerged during my visit was the pervasive sweetness that seemed to characterize not only the dessert offerings but many of the savory dishes as well. The abundance of sugar in various forms left the palate overwhelmed and, at times, made it challenging to appreciate the nuanced flavors of the individual dishes. This excessive sweetness, while a signature aspect of the restaurant, may not align with the preferences of those seeking a more balanced or less sugary dining experience.
Adding to the list of concerns was the perceived lack of parking options. The absence of convenient parking can pose a significant inconvenience for patrons, potentially deterring them from choosing The Cheesecake Factory as a dining destination. A smoother parking experience is often a crucial aspect of ensuring a positive start to the overall dining journey.
While The Cheesecake Factory has earned a reputation for its expansive menu, the prices seemed to reflect the breadth rather than the depth of the culinary offerings. The cost of the meal, when combined with the perceived sweetness and the absence of convenient parking, may lead patrons to question the value proposition.
Cleanliness emerged as another notable concern during my visit. The restaurant space did not exude the level of tidiness one might expect, contributing to a somewhat diminished dining ambiance. This sentiment extended to the restroom facilities, which regrettably fell short of the hygiene standards one anticipates in a restaurant of this caliber. The state of the toilets was, in a word, disgusting, significantly impacting the overall impression of cleanliness and comfort.
In conclusion, while The Cheesecake Factory in Clarendon offers an extensive menu and a reputation for indulgent desserts, my recent visit revealed concerns about excessive sweetness, parking availability, pricing, and cleanliness. Addressing these aspects could contribute to a more satisfying and well-rounded dining experience, aligning with the expectations associated with a renowned establishment like The...
Read moreFood was great and we had a reservation and they took us right away but after we accidentally spilled our drink we were ignored for the rest of our visit. We profusely apologized to the waitress who then walked away and sent the bus boy to handle the issue, the bus boy was great and very understanding. Following the indecent we didn’t see the waitress until the food came at which point she dropped the food and left without asking if everything looked ok or if we needed anything else. We finished our food and were planning on eating some cheesecake in the restaurant because we still had an hour before we had to be at our plans. We proceeded to wait 30 minutes as the waitress ignored Every look or attempt to get her attention that we gave and at first we were forgiving because we felt horrible about spilling the drink and she had other tables and we didn’t expect her to check on us every second but it was pretty obvious she was ignoring us after she checked every table around us and even took a new tables order and delivered their food in the time it took for her to see us. She finally brought the bill 30 minutes after we attempted to flag her down, and I was even able to go buy cheesecake separately in the time it took her to get the checks and boxes for the food. And When our waitress brought the bills she dropped it in one check book on the table and walked away without a word. We tried to clean up while wait for her to take our bills/money but we were never given new napkins after cleaning up the drink we spilled. She proceeded to ignore our table after dropping off the bill and at this point our plans that were an hour away were in now in 15 minutes so we had to leave. We managed to gather enough cash between us to pay our bills so we could just leave but had she taken our checks, which we planned on paying and tipping in card, and cleared our table out (for her own benefit) she would have gotten tipped and yet another apology from us. There was no reason for the treatment we received from the waitress every other worker we encountered showed much more kindness. Our entire party work in the service industry and strongly believe that workers deserve tips and that they are people too but she did not treat us fairly and it was...
