I visited Brazil Mart today, mainly to try a Brazilian empada — specifically the shrimp one — and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment.

The empada was baked in a small aluminum dish, and the pastry itself was so soft and poorly structured that it couldn’t even be removed from the dish. I had to eat it with a spoon, which completely defeats the traditional way an empada is meant to be enjoyed. It should be sturdy enough to pick up with your fingers — even if it crumbles a bit — not something you scoop like pudding. On top of that, there was barely any filling inside, and definitely no trace of shrimp. The taste was bland, empty, and not what you’d expect from a shrimp empada at all.

They also had free samples by the cashier, but sadly, those were just as bad. They were cold, flavorless, and again lacking in filling. The ones labeled as corn or cheese didn’t taste like either. The only redeeming quality was the frying — I’ll admit, it was done very well: no greasy smell, beautifully golden and crispy. But if all you're left with is crunchy dough and no flavor, it’s not a satisfying experience.

That said, the market itself is very clean and organized, and the staff were kind and professional. That’s the only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one. But food-wise, it was a total letdown, especially for the price, which was on the higher side.

I wouldn't return for the food and wouldn’t recommend it for anyone looking for a good Brazilian food experience. If you’re after better finger foods in the area, head a few blocks north to Casa Brasil — smaller selection, yes, but much better...

That’s ridiculous how those girls have an attitude when you qre there to buy, pay or exchange something. First of all, they don’t have the decency of come to you to ask if you need help with something! They literally let you waiting to PAY for the product you chose, they just go to do something else instead see what you need. Horrible customer service! I am saying that because, I went there, last Thursday, to buy water filter(from Brasil) and first the girl told me to go and get it ( the filter is heavy) then she let me waiting till she finished all the other customers that were there. I took the water filter home, it has a small defect, it was leaking, so I called immediately and let them know the problem! Today I took it back to them, and the girl didn’t want to give me the new one, instead she was saying that the new one might have the same problem because it was the same brand and ask me if I wanted the money back! I said I wanted another filter, I was clear on that.! So the other one told me she was goind to put water in it to show us this one didn’t have any problem, so she was going to try it in front of me! This is ridiculous, how they treat their customers insinuating I was making things up I guessed! So I finally thought was better to get my money back and find the water filter somewhere else! Because if the filter for some reason comes with defect like she said, of course I was gonna have more problem with them....

I will never return to this place EVER AGAIN. I am a diabetic and needed aid from my service dog, so I went inside, holding my dog with my arms.He was not touching the floor. On the door, it clearly states,” animals are not permitted, only service dogs are allowed.” When I got inside, the man told me that dogs are not allowed and told me that I would need to get out. I simply told him that my dog was a service dog and that I needed him beside me. He rudely replied by saying that it doesn’t matter and that I would need to get out. He said my dog would only be able to get in if he was INSIDE A BAG! Now let me remind you, that the law does not state that service animals are only allowed inside a bag. Employees from this store don’t respect the laws and it...

The best brazilian “coxinhas” in Miami!!! They are same as croquetas. Always fresh and delicious if you order at the market counter, takes literally less then 5 minutes to take a hot and ready to eat box with 20 coxinhas. Other flavor options available too, you won’t regret to try churros Dulce de leche, so many options is hard to decide . I ordered for my son bday and it was the highlight of the party. They also have frozen boxes that you can air fry at home.

These are the best coxinhas in South Florida! Love the variety of flavors. Brazil Mart has the widest variety of Brazilian food and products. And the staff is always super friendly. You can find anything there, from classic Brazilian chocolate Easter eggs to Havaianas sandals. It’s a must stop for me on my way home from Jiu Jitsu!
