I’ve always wanted to try Mario the baker food but always ordered from my usual - Sals. But when late night hunger took over I decided to try this place out on Uber eats. First impressions actually really good,.. food was hot, fresh and big portions, and garlic rolls were drowning in garlic butter. Yum. I bit into a roll ... and , oh no......too much garlic 😭😩 butter, yes! Delicious, but the garlic, was too much. I didn’t know there was such a thing, but boy that garlic cleared out my sinuses. Phew! A Little disappointment. Oh well onto the baked ziti. looks delicious. Melted cheese, two big meatballs in the middle. I break the cheese with my fork, take a bite,, cheese is good! Get into the pasta and realize it’s swimming in a watery sauce that honestly wasn’t nothing to talk about. Hardly what I’d expect for baked pasta, I wouldn’t even expect so much sauce in a regular bowl of pasta let alone a baked ziti. The meatballs, taste bland. They have some seasoning in them, but they are pale in color instead of being browned from being “baked” in the oven, they resemble something more like boiled meatballs, which thinking of all the sauce they were swimming in, might have actually been how they were cooked. Half way through it and there’s about 3/4 cup of watery sauce at the bottom. Overall a big disappointment, wish I’d just grabbed some penne and Prego sauce out of the cupboard and thrown it together myself for $2, cause honestly I wouldn’t have been able to taste the difference in flavor and would have felt more satisfied.

I also ordered a tiramisu, which again, looks gorgeous. But I’m hesitant to dig in in case it’s a disappointment like the rest of the food. I’m full, but not satisfied, and I don’t necessarily expect much when it comes to late night eats, but equally didn’t think you could mess up a baked ziti, and not for $17 I paid for it either.

Sad to say, I think tonight is the first and last time eating from Mario’s, all those times driving past wondering what the food tastes like and now I know. Not for me. Makes me wonder about all these great reviews, if the chef was having a bad night, or maybe they don’t take so much care in Uber eats orders. Guess...

I hate to do this but this was just an awful experience. My husband grew up in North Miami eating Mario's pizza and still loves it. His sister now lives in Wellington so when we come visit her from Ohio we always go to the Mario's on 441. It's always good. Really really good. We were down this way and decided to order from here. This was awful! First off it was supposed to be delivered at 9:15. At 9:45 I called to check on it. He said he was delayed and he was getting it out of oven in 5 min. So would be to us in 20 more min. Putting the time at 10pm. I said I understand delays and that's fine but a call would have appreciate because we have kids who are waiting. He said he was sorry but no mention of free garlic rolls or dessert. My gut said to cancel the order but kids were freaking out so fine. Pizza was not here in another 20min... Pizza didn't arrive until 10:30. That's over an hour after given delivery time estimate. We were hoping it was at least worth the wait. No.. Cheese was hard and separating and chewy like a rubber band and sauce was so salty we couldn't even eat it. We all chocked down. 1 slice since we were starving and I made the kids a PB banana sandwich and we went went bed annoyed. We were not called back to recieve an apology about the extreme delay and we were not compensated in anyway. Plus the pizza was just awful. Such a disappointment 😞 My husband was so excited to order from them and this specific location from his childhood. On this visit we didn't get to eat at the 441 location like usual and I can only hope they still have great food and service because based on this experience this location...

This was the first time :Got a veal parmigianna, super tender and tasty, place super clean and stylish, and attendant was very nice and helpfull, will recomend !!! NOW horrible expirience, 90 minutes to deliver food 3 blocks, they charge me $ 25.25 for a sandwitch (all messed out like if it went trough a cocktail shaker) that in the menu cost $13.00. order french fries, never got them. NEVER AGAIN !!!

I must be stupid!!! I decide to give MARIO THE BAKER, Aventura another chance because I really like the food there, specially the veal parmigianna, but... I didn't learn my lesson the last time, today I end up without a dinner, I had to run a 12 hours shift with out any food, why ? You may ask, well I order again a veal parmigianna sandwich from "MARIO THE BAKER " Aventura to be delivered to my place of work, but 3 hours later and my sandwich never arrived. Thanks for nothing Mario the baker !!!

Here I am again, this time I try the CAPRI PIZZA, it took a while for the delivery, but I wasn't dissapointed this time, the pizza was delicious, and I know about pizza ( 12 years experience working in pizzerias in Long Island N.Y.) fresh ingredients, tasty dough, the only thing that I regret...I should have order the 16" instead of the 12", it was so good that I wanted some more pizza but didn't last 12" pizza for 2 hungry people is not enough, this time you hit a home run !! Again...

I'm so depressed about customer greetings, food ingredients, and tests. Their food test is not authentic Italian, but they run businesses under Italian names. I came from New York City for visiting. 2 years ago I worked at "La Lanterna De Vittorio, Italian Pizza Restaurant" in NYC as a server. So, I know what is an Italian recipe and test about food. Tonight I brought Cheese Pie, Fried Calamari, and Tiramisu from this restaurant. *** In Cheese Pie marinara sauce they use too much salt. It's not an actual test, I throughout to garbage. *** They use frozen Calamari, not fresh & fried, it looks burned. The test is burned. *** Also Tiramisu is the most famous dessert in the world but I never ate this kind of Tiramisu. I know it's made by lady fingers, mascarpone chasse, espresso+++, etc. But in this restaurant, they use regular cake slices and mascarpone, and a top of coffee powder. The test is annoyed 🤮. Finally, I'm sorry for my honest review because I wasted my money. You guys don't know what is an Italian food test. If you guys (Owner, Chef, and Servers) ever plan to visit NYC must visit (La Lanterna di Vittorio) 129 MacDougal St, New York, NY 10012.

The people who work the counter are very nice and friendly. We ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni on the whole pizza and tomatoes on only half. We ordered 2 drinks but the soda machine was broken so they had to give us a can soda. The pizza came out tasting decent enough. Not bad, not spectacular. We ordered a half dozen of rolls, too greasy, a little hard, I would prefer softer. We ordered 2 side salads but they tasted funny so we wasted them, our order came to $37 not counting the side salads I think- she took those off our ticket. Seems like $37 was a little steep but maybe I’m saying that because the food didn’t taste good enough to be worth the price? She didn’t break down the prices for me and it didn’t seem to add up to me. But who knows. I’m usually very generous with 5 stars so it’s saying something when I’m only giving 2 stars. The people are very friendly at least.
