I was a customer of Briarhawk for a good while and I mainly purchased my firearms and parts from them. However, I recently had a not very good experience in purchasing lately. Maybe its the pandemic or something and I’m guessing everyone was exhausted but one time I bought a bolt carrier group from them. I probably had the bolt for a month or so but when I was cleaning my gun I realized the screw on the gas key was either missing or broken. So I wanted to see the manufacturer was because I’m sure the store would probably not let me return the bolt carrier group. I had my receipt and everything but they were unable to give me information about who to call as far as a return/ exchange or warranty for the bolt carrier group.

So now I’m down a bolt carrier group and a bad experience. I hope customer service gets better.

5/20/21: went back to the store after giving the general social unrest to die down. No lines up front anymore. Came in got welcomed warmly, by old and new staff. Came in to look for a lower, checked if they had it in stock. They were helpful enough to show me and give me a no BS honest opinion about the product I was thinking about. Made a purchase and chatted about how the past year was very different and had its difficulties in the gun shop community. I definitely gained some understanding on how the bcg issue I had happened as such. Customer service has definitely improved! I’m still down a bolt carrier group but I would go back on buying and checking inventory every so...

Topnotch customer service and very reasonable prices make this place my favorite place to go to when I need a firearm. They have a small but very good selection of firearms. But the best part about it is that if they don't have it, Art can order it for you at a price most gunstores can't beat. Art did that for me when I needed to get my Ruger 10/22 Takedown Target Model rifle. Firearm transfer is also excellent at Briarhawk. Art will let you know the about your firearm the moment it arrives from shipping and he will legally turn over your firearm to you at a fee which I can say is the lowest in the valley.

The very friendly atmosphere in the store is also something that separates Briarhawk from other gunstores out there. Art's long experience as a retired law enforcement officer will tell you that he knows what he's talking about. He will patiently answer all your questions and happily guide you to making the best decision in your firearm purchase... NO EXCEPTION, WHETHER YOU KNOW GUNS OR NOT. Briarhawk is definitely your place if you're a 1st time gun buyer (and also if you're tired of all the other stores out there who employ self-proclaimed gun experts).

So I spent most of Tuesday morning going through the list of gunstores that I would do business with in town here trying to buy a gun locally here. After calling at least 6 stores,who basically told me they didn't have the gun ,but I should order it on line and get it sent to them. My next call was to Briarhawk Firearms and Ammo. A gentleman named Adam asked how he could help,I told I wanted, he checked and asked me to hold on a min,got back on the phone told me he didn't have it ,but could have it here in three days for me. I went down to the store,left the 20% down thats required. When I was done with that I bought a shotgun and other things. Adam turned out to be a good guy,they have plenty of new guns,ammo and accessories,but most importantly he goes out of his way to try and get you your gun.
