The grand opening of Houston, TX Hot Chicken on Sahara in Las Vegas was an exhilarating and mouthwatering affair that left a profound impression on the culinary scene. As a devoted aficionado of spicy delicacies, I was fortunate to witness the debut of this exciting establishment, and it did not disappoint.
The crown jewel of the evening was undeniably the Original Sandwich & Tender Meal, which showcased the restaurant's commitment to delivering bold flavors and a symphony of textures. The dish consisted of a crispy, breaded chicken tender served on a soft bun with house-made slaw, crisp pickles, and golden fries. The sandwich was drizzled with the restaurant's secret house sauce, which added a zesty kick to the dish.
The centerpiece of this dish, the Original Sandwich, was a fiery delight that balanced the chicken's heat with the excellent and creamy embrace of slaw. The crispy, perfectly breaded chicken tender was a culinary revelation, and when ensconced within the warm hug of the soft bun, it created a delightful juxtaposition of textures. The house sauce, a closely guarded secret, added a zesty kick that elevated the flavor profile to new heights.
The house-made slaw, a refreshing and crisp counterpoint to the chicken's heat, lent a pleasing crunch and a hint of tanginess to each bite. The pickles, carefully chosen for their quality, provided a burst of acidity and a refreshing contrast to the bold flavors. And let us not forget the side of fries, perfectly cooked and seasoned, making for an ideal companion to the fiery sensation of the sandwich and tender.

The Strawberry Hibiscus variant, in particular, is an enchanting elixir that offers refreshment to parched souls seeking respite from the heat. Amidst the restaurant's fiery culinary offerings, this house-made lemonade emerges as a delightful oasis for the palate.
The Strawberry Hibiscus Chilled House Lemonade is a symphony of flavors that awakens the senses with every sip. The essence of ripe, sun-kissed strawberries lends a natural sweetness that is both luscious and invigorating. Its flirtatious dance with the tart notes of hibiscus creates a harmonious balance, evoking memories of summery afternoons spent beneath the shade of blossoming gardens. This refreshing beverage is the perfect complement to the bold flavors of the spicy chicken sandwich, offering a cooling and rejuvenating sensation with every sip.

Read moreDefinitely an experience I was looking forward to. HHC was a different type of chicken than I've tried. The interior of the restaurant is very modern and bright, sprinkled with a couple of perfect selfie walls. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.
The chicken tenders offered come in a variety of heat from "no spice" to "Houston, We Have a Problem". My wife opted for the Caeser salad topped with 2 medium chicken tenders. I got the medium chicken tender by itself with a Tortilla soup. We also purchased a blueberry lavender lemonade and a Strawberry Watermelon lemonade along with a birthday cake cookie. We dined in and received our drinks promptly after ordering. We received all of our food within less than 10 minutes of sitting down. I started with the mouthwatering Tortilla soup. I've never had one like this before! I couldn't stop eating it, I literally picked up the bowl it was served in and started slurping it because the spoon wasn't getting it in my mouth fast enough lol. It had these small bits of cheese that made the broth extra creamy and delicious. And it had a generous portion of chicken in it. Definitely try this soup. The salad was good, nothing really to mention besides that it was very large. My wife was not able to finish it so we took some of it home. A good option for lunch. The medium chicken tender was decent. To me, the breading was a little bland and the medium sauce was also. I ordered a cilantro and house sauce to see if that would make a difference. The house sauce taste like a spicy thousand island sauce, the cilantro sauce to me taste like only sour cream with a green coloring to it. I didn't like the cilantro sauce. The house sauce however did give the chicken an extra spicy kick which I really liked. Both lemonades we ordered were delicious. Not overpowering with the flavors but nice and subtle. The birthday cake cookie was so mouthwateringly delicious. It was so soft it was almost like a half baked Brownie!
HHC, thank you for the...
Read moreI've been going to Houston's for some time now at several of their locations. I remember when there was only the one in Henderson and I had to make that long drive. I've also done a few YouTube videos , Tips From A Bellman is my channel , for them at 3 different locations. So yes I'm a fan. I get the Medium Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Chicken Tender with Fries and that wonderful Fry Sauce. I like the Regular Frozen Lemonade , better than the other flavors.
I was here about a month ago and got mine to go. It was the first time for me to come to this location and it's close by. My son and daughter in law picked up from here for us before , but I wasn't with them. The decor is pretty much the same at each location with a few differences. The one downtown has a bar , Summerlin does shakes with alcohol which I want to go back to and try one and of course the Henderson one is the original. I've also been to the one on Ann Road.
This time my chicken sandwich was a little shy on the coleslaw. I received a survey a day or so later and I mentioned it and the manager apologized and sent me an email back. I wasn't complaining , I just was used to getting a good amount on my sandwich and having that crunch to go with it. I highly recommend Houston's at any location. I've never had a problem and the food is always so good. I think it's way better than Dave's Hot Chicken on West Sahara. I went once and wasn't...
