Long time tradition for me and my son but in the last several years the experience hadn’t been very enjoyable. Once upon a time locals and visitors alike just instinctively knew that to have the full experience everyone would have the common sense to turn off their headlights. This doesn’t seem to be common practice anymore and I’m not sure if there is some enforced law that prohibits people from turning them off or it’s simply just a lack of awareness. The intense glare from all the headlights completely obscures the beauty overhead and makes it next to impossible to take any pictures too. Unless one has their gaze completely focused on the upper 1/3 of the trees the rest of the lighting is diminished from all the glare. There was a very small percentage of people who where in the know and had the common sense to turn off their headlights but it was a very small minority. All that to say, if maybe the word gets around between now and next Christmas maybe more people will turn them off unless of course there is a Law that prohibits of which I’m completely...
Read moreLane/Street which is the symbol, enthu and passion of Christmas festival in LA more specifically in Pasadena. Whole lane/street with beautiful dense deodar cedar trees lit annually and give a feeling of huge Christmas trees around the lane which were decorate too well. The apartments and people around the street maintain the same passion and decorate and lit their home with fabulous and colorful lighting, Christmas mascots, lighted deers and Other stuffs. I am sure kids and all age group enjoy drive through on the lane. Getting parking is difficult and bumper to bumper drive as lane is highly overcrowded during Christmas day. The only bad thing is that people do not dim the car headlights, even worse, people drive with the high beams, and this makes it difficult to fully enjoy...
