City Electric Supply West Ashley — Attraction in Charleston

I called City Electric Supply because they are listed on the Wiha Tools website as an In Store Retailer. I wanted to look at the tools in person and see if I could confirm which size screwdriver I needed for an electronics project I am working on, plus I like supporting local businesses instead of just ordering everything online. The person who answered the phone sounded like they couldn't care less, mumbling the company name in a monotone, annoyed way. I asked if they carry Wiha screwdrivers, since they are listed as a retailer on their website, and instead of saying yes or no or telling me what types or models of screwdrivers they carry, he asked if I needed a very specific type instead. Since I was looking for precision screwdrivers and not the kind he he asked me about I said no I was looking for something else. Instead putting forth any sort of effort, like asking what type of tool I was looking for, what kind of project I needed it for so he could offer alternatives, offering to check if another location had what I needed in stock, offering to see if he could order it etc. he just said NO in a very dismissive manner, with out even knowing what I was looking for. And that was the end of the call.

I started looking to order this tool Saturday, after City Electric closed. Instead of ordering it online, I waited until Monday to check with them so I could look at in person and give a local business my money. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. The person I spoke with was so unhelpful and just didn't care at all about helping me. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT AND ORDER YOUR TOOL...
