I recently had the pleasure of visiting Turbo Cone, a delightful ice cream shop located in West Charleston, SC. My experience there was nothing short of exceptional, leaving me with a satisfied sweet tooth and a smile on my face.
Upon entering Turbo Cone, I was immediately captivated by the clean and bright atmosphere. The colorful décor added a vibrant touch, enhancing the overall cheerful ambiance. The attention to detail in maintaining a spotless environment was commendable, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the showâthe ice cream! I opted for a classic vanilla cone dipped in their tantalizing butterscotch hard shell. The first bite was pure bliss. The vanilla ice cream was incredibly smooth and creamy, perfectly complemented by the rich, sweet and slightly salty butterscotch coating. It was a heavenly combination that satisfied my craving for something both indulgent and nostalgic.

Read moreI used to have nothing but good things to say about this place. Made regular 50 minute round trip drives from Johns for the soft serve. Tonight (3/28/23) they put so much hot caramel in my Hurricone that it was like soup when I sat down. I went back to say it wasnât good and to ask if I might get a different combo instead. The curly brown haired girl with freckles said ok and proceeded to charge me for the replacement. I was so stunned that I just swiped again and didnât say anything. At least not until she replaced my large with a small. At that point I lost my mind and reminded her that it wasnât good business to charge the customer to replace an inferior product. Lucky for her she had a snap rebuttal to put me back in my place otherwise I might have inadvertently walked away satisfied.
(Update 4/4/23 Still waiting for owner/operator to reply to my review at least. To this point I have to assume the teenage contingent is running that business and the ownership canât be bothered to address service issues. Iâm in business and I respond to every last one of my Google reviews. Itâs just the right...
Read moreMy son Bruce adores this place! He is 3 years old he. He was choosing the golden arches arches fries as his weekly reward for good behavior/ full participation in circle and center time. (We are trying to get him prepared for 4k full/ day week.) I was not super pleased at his choice, as it is really unhealthy. We went to Turbo Cone as a special reward for another good behavior. He was absolutely impressed! He has refused any other reward since! He asks for it every day. He behaves better than before, too! Today we arrived at 2:30 because I forgot they don't open until 3 pm. We live around the corner, so I suggested we run home so he wouldn't have so long to wait. He wasn't having it. He literally sat patiently for 30 mins waiting for them to open. As far as I am concerned, Turbo Cone is more of a treat as well. It tastes way better, there are more options, AND we literally paid about $12.50, including tax and a 20% tip! Besides all of that we have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for our order. NO drive thru can beat that time! :) Thanks Turbo Cone for making the preschool years a...
