Matt was able to make an amazing ring for my fiancé when I honestly didn't know much at all about what I was doing. He has a lot of versatility. To give you an example, I had uncut, raw gems we had mined in North Carolina polished and cut to be placed as studs in the underside of our engagement ring. We had gone to one of those tiny mining shacks and actually found low quality rubies and some peridots, our birthstones - he sent them to a gemologist who cut and polished them and advised me on the right size and right placement - inside the band, making this ring uniquely ours.

Secondly, he is amazing with his custom design process. He gives you the lowdown on platinum vs gold, shows you CAD workups of the ring as it gets drawn, and can really work well with a budget. I had about 10 people from around the country working on this ring at the same time - his quotes, estimates, and finished product beat out anything that anyone else was giving me.

I am typically not a person to take the time to write a review. However, my experience with Matt and Cut greatly exceeded all of my expectations. I'm not sure what I like more, the beautiful ring that Cut created or the incredible customer service that I received from Matt. The transparency and honestly in which he runs his business is something that is an unfortunate rare find in today's world. I also should mention that I live in Houston and Matt maintained excellent communication with me, as well as made the extra effort to have my ring completed earlier than anticipated to ensure the ring was delivered to me in time for my proposal date. If nothing else speaks for the quality of the product, nearly every comment on our engagement Facebook post centered around how beautiful the ring was.
