I like trying new foods, or even just something a little different from normal. My husband left me in charge of finding lunch and I decided on here. I figured he could get a regular burger if absolutely necessary (he's quite picky), but he surprised me and got the bulgogi bowl--he has ALWAYS declined bulgogi (one of my favorites), but he ate it and even the veggies that came with it (he had never eaten broccoli before). I had the bulgogi burger and it was amazing! I look forward to trying out more things on the menu! The food is good and the prices are reasonable.

Got the 2-meat platter with short rib and katsu. It was so delicious! The macaroni salad flavor didn't really match with the sweetness of the 2 meats, but it was still good! No complaints about the platter, it was satisfying. The bulgogi fries on the hand, were absolutely atrocious, I'm not sure if I want to take 1 or 2 stars off for it. It was unsalted fries with a bit of bulgogi and cheese slapped on top... And then microwaved so that the cheese melts. That's it. I would've expected better for $7. Just sharp cheddar did not taste good on top of the bulgogi.

Wow, did this place remind us of our time in Maui. Everywhere we travel to, we look for a good Hawaiian BBQ, and this did not disappoint. I got the bowl with spicy pork and Spam, and my partner got the mixed plate with bulgogi, short ribs, and katsu. Everything was perfection, especially the pork and short ribs. The service was very good too. No complaints, can't wait to come back again next time we're in Baton Rouge.

I"m a little confused regarding the hype about this place. I was extremely excited to try it, but it was a mixed experience. The food was fine, but it wasn't anything overly delicious or special. The loco moco was a little disappointing and the rice bowl with the shrimp was just okay.

The restaurant itself was hard for me to eat in because it's just so dirty. Sticky floors, stuff on the walls.....it was hard to eat b/c I was so distracted by how filthy things were, so I tried not to look around in an attempt to not think about it. It did make me wonder, however, if that's what the dining area looked like, what kind of condition was the kitchen in?

Glad I tried it, but it was a one time thing and nothing memorable (except the conditions of the restaurant that stood out more than the food) or...

Ok, this eating is slightly unfair but I have to be honest. It's unfair bc the food is, by far, hands down, amazing and the workers were both attentive and personable. Unfortunately when I had gone their a.c. was out (in July...). Then, while we were eating, the only 2 employees brought in a shop vac and ladder. I figured they would've waited until we were done eating but nope. They started right there while we were eating. They removed a ceiling tile, which was by the kitchen, and I found that to be unsanitary for my personal opinion. So, if it wasn't for their amazing food, I would have probably given only 1 star. But the food is THAT GOOD!!! I will change my review once I go back and...

By far my go to spot in Baton Rouge. I can’t even tell you how many years I have been eating here but it has never changed the food is simple yet delicious. Never missed a not once. I love the owner he is always down for a chat and my constant complaint that I missed his home style chips versus the fries in his bulgogi fries. The meat platter is one point the Katsu crunchy and juicy, the beef bulgogi always sweet and juicy and the chicken just perfect. The kimchi is crunchy tangy and the perfect addition to this meal. The burgers are also amazing! Just a...
