Went to this place 3 times in about 24 hours. Came thru Saturday afternoon around 3pm with my girlfriend. I have passed this place many times on the way home from work because it’s visible from the road and wanted to come in so I made it a stop in the plan. Had a great time 5 star experience on Sunday , picked up 5 xbox 360 games for about 60$ and was in love with the prices they had for all the titles. Really like the selection of games they had as well. The gentlemen behind the counter was very nice and charismatic and they even had a shop dog present who was super kind and it was all around a great experience. I had recently broken the battery holder of one of my controllers and was in the market of getting a new controller but he was kind enough to give me just the battery holder for free from one of the broken untested controllers he had in a box, amazing service all around. Saturday night I tested all the games and sadly one of the games did not work, would not read at all. Not a big deal I decided to come back Sunday. The came that didn’t work just for context was UFC 3 . So Sunday at 2 I come in with my roommate for him to look at games and so I could make my exchange. There was now a different much older gentleman behind the counter who might have been having an off day , but the energy he gave me through the interaction came off very hostile , I picked up two games this time; since the first game was more expensive I was able to get two for almost the same price. Only had to pay an additional $3. Went home tested the games and again 1 of the games did not work . I now had 2/7 games I purchased from the store be unreadable by my x box. Still not the biggest deal, it's not why I gave the negative review. When I come back only about two hours later the same older gentleman is there. I, this time am alone but am not the only customer in the store , two other ppl were there so I walk up to the counter and state how this came doesn’t work. He then looks at the game and quickly accuses my Xbox of breaking the disk, the term he used was “your Xbox burned a ring around the disc”. I was very much shocked and did rebuttal saying there’s no way and how that’s not possible bc I have almost 100 games and have never had a problem like that plus the other games worked just fine. He said he would still allow me to exchange the game. I take my time and find a new title to purchase. When I came up to the counter for the final time and showed him the game I chose, he took the disc I wanted and placed it on the game case in a way that I thought was very aggressive and unnecessary. He pointed to it and told me to inspect it and said “is this to ur liking “? It looked great to me so I took a photo of it and left. The game was about $4 more than the game I returned and he did not make me pay that $4. He said you can have it for the inconvenience. I really appreciated that but I was still very shocked and stirred due to his general energy and perceived aggression throughout both my experiences. They have a great store but I hope the gentleman was just having a bad day, I really don’t know if I will return just because of how the whole ordeal...
Read moreI genuinely tried to give this place a chance maybe some days or just off days and I'll give them the benefit of the doubts but I showed up three different times at store opening just to look for a game boy Link cable and each time they were closed even though they're supposed to be open I called today finally get a response at 10:22 that they're going to be opening late. I've been other times where I was fortunate enough to be there when they were open and I'm not sure if he's the owner or what but he has like a New Jersey accent and he just talks down to you and tries to act as though he has the upper hand in everything you guys talk about. Their prices are fine they are market value but man I do not want to shop here especially with how he talks to you he doesn't talk to you like you're a guest , he talks to you as though he's trying to be a businessman and it's very unwelcoming. I was trying to support my local games for maybe even buy a few extra things but at this point I'm probably going to end up leaning on Amazon because they can't stick to their hours. They should at least post it somewhere that they're going to be opening late or advertising on social media or maybe adjust their hours if they can't commit to a set schedule since it seems hard for them to commit to that. I saw in previous reviews they had the same issue and I didn't even come on a Sunday so there's no Mass happening . Overall this place is in a terrible excuse for a game store I would rather recommend going to gamers Inc or some other business that knows what they're doing and treats you with...
Read moreSummary: Store is fine, but be weary of their return policy. The owner is a good guy who knows his stuff, but doesn't communicate well when he's flustered or busy.
Before buying a PS4 game i was really excited about, asked about the refund policy and the owner said it was 14 days. Got the game home and it wouldn't work. Took it back, and he said that they didn't have a refund policy. It was super busy the original day I went, so I figured he just didnt hear my question correctly. He tested the game to confirm it was broken, and offered to exchange it with something else, but after being burnt once and the games available not having anything I was interested in, I just wanted my money back. He refused. We had a long conversation about why he couldn't cancel the credit card transaction. I asked if he had any cash available to refund me part of it, and he didn't. So I said I'd just charge it back on my credit card as he helped other customers. I told him that I started the charge back process, and he said that he told me he would go to the bank in a while and fix it. He hadn't said that. I waited for 20 minutes. After overhearing him say on the phone that someone would be there to watch the store in an hour and a half,...
