Dollar Tree — Attraction in Lower Chichester Township

Clean store, well-managed and usually well stocked. Convenient when in Claymont/North Wilmington area.

Update: The previous one Dollar price tag has received a 25% increase, almost across the board. Some canned items, 5pks of Ramen and a select few misc items have been spared the new $1.25 tag.

The higher pricing seems to have allowed Dollar Tree to stock some quality items that would not likely be there at the lower $/item price point. Definitely worth the nominal increase.

Philadelphia Water Ice Company's pints-- available in Mango, Cherry and Hawaiian are a steal at $1.25.

Need bagged ice to fill your picnic/travel cooler this summer? Dollar Tree has the best price to be found in local stores. Area supermarkets, Wawa and other Dollar store chains charge in the $3 range while Dollar Tree's $1.25 represents a great value.

UPDATE: It's Halloween 🎃 season at Dollar Tree and there's some great items for kids and adults who love the holiday. Skull drink mugs, battery powered spook lights, door skeletons, Halloween signs candy, trick r' treat bags and even mini projectors that display skulls and haunted scenes on your walls all for $1.25.

UPDATE #2: For the past 2 weeks, Dollar Tree has been transitioning from the spooky to merry. Christmas-themed crafts, nicknacks, decor, small trees, string lights, holiday dinnerware and candy has taken over the front of the store. Customer service is sometimes questionable. Shelves are sometimes not stocked.

2/11/22 review. My experience today was awesome. I have to give credit where credit is due and it's to to the staff that was working today! They were patient, personable, friendly and most definitely helpful. The story behind my feelings is long so I'll just say, I rarely give five stars (unless the service is beyond beyond) but I'm giving them five stars today for the customer service and the fact that the crackers I feel I need 😁 we're in stock. I'm in this Dollar Tree often (too often) and this is a first with good customer service (and I've had a really bad experience here like a near death (had a stroke in the store)and no one even checked on or assisted me and my young daughter experience.)I digress sorry it's all positive...

I was just at dollar tree to purchase 3 items, young black male working the only cash register now there is at least 6 people in line before me with carts of more than 20 items. Now there is at least 10 people behind me and growing so one young man went over to where there is 3 more co workers stocking items, so the supervisor said if you don’t like leave! Go somewhere else before that another employee was asked for a supervisor because the cashier is overwhelmed! He responded disrespectful so the young man was ready to step to him fight. I told him don’t! I told that woman ok you are right put my things down and left! Never ever again! Real ignorant...
