My girlfriend and I had moved from our house and needed a place local to stay for a couple of nights. I paid cash and got our room number, my step son and step daughter in law helped us bring in our things which consisted of 5 blankets, 4 pillows, sheets, 3 backpacks and two small coolers along with my girlfriends make up, toiletries and a bathroom rug (she don't like getting out of the shower and stepping on towels) along with 3 of our own towels. Her and my step daughter in law walked down to grab some ice and snacks and my step son and step daughter in law were going to visit for a little bit before we took them back to their apartment in Linwood PA. The man from the front desk, which I assumed was a manager proceeded to yell at my girlfriend and step daughter in law telling them to get our stuff and leave and when my girlfriend asked why he said "there were too many people for that room and we had too much stuff." My girlfriend started explaining to him that we had just moved from our house and had a packed van but assured him it was just a lot of blankets and a few book bags and that my step son and his girlfriend were just helping us carry in our things and visiting for about a half hour before we brought them home. He continued yelling at my girlfriend telling her to get our things and leave and at one point was close enough to where he raised his hand and she jumped. After words were exchanged between them he said to get our things out and he wasn't refunded our money until we got all our things from our room. I collected the money and he had no other explanation for throwing us out except that we had too much stuff in our room. Very unprofessional and uncalled for since there are no signs of a limit on what is allowed in the rooms and nobody else but me and my girlfriend were the only two spending the night in the paid room. And for a manager (a man, no less) to get into my girlfriends personal space and to raise his hand to the point of making her flinch is sick and disgusting. If we were not so exhausted from 2 days of packing up a 3 bedroom house and 8 hours of loading a truck and unloading it all into our storage bin we would of called the police ourselves, but because my girlfriend had such a migraine and we were exhausted we just left. No man should ever make a woman feel threatened especially if he does not even know her and is suppose to be professional when working with the public. My girlfriend was in the hotel/restaurant/food and beverage business for over 20 years and has managed in a hotel and has NEVER seen ANY manager EVER act the way he did. So disgusted and will be contacting corporate office about...
Read moreI have been staying here for awhile now and decided to breeze through the reviews and would just like to contradict some of the negative things written. As for cleanliness the rooms are cleaned every morning unless u request other wise. They are very accommodating so if u happen to have issues wt sheets or blankets if u ask they will give u fresh. There are a lot of rooms so alot of blankets to wash and they do not have time to inspect every inch of every blanket. I'm sure they could buy new ones more often and hire the extra people to do these things but than they would have to raise the rates. I could understand the mean things being said if you were to ask for something and got rejected but I've had to ask every single desk clerk that works here for something sometime or another and I have never been denied or treated badly. I have sat there and watched other people get loud with them and argue with them over some of the stupidest things and not once did I see them give an attitude back or not try to help in some way. As for some of the comments on paying weekly rates they do offer them but it's probably for certain rooms. They are booked full almost every single weekend if they were to offer weekly rates for their bigger rooms they would be losing money on their busy days. So if you want to continue being able to afford the cheaper rates you will have to deal with some of the drawbacks of those cheaper rates. Or go to the more expensive bigger hotels but I guarantee you they care even less about the people staying there we're at least at this one they are willing to work with you if you at least treat them...
Read moreI made a colossal mistake, folks. I figured staying here would take it easy on my per diem and help me save some tax-free cash. Not worth it.||||I've stayed in Ritz Carltons, Four Seasons, and a host of other $500+/night hotels. ||I have also stayed in places where they had no cockroaches. Not because they were clean with a great maintenance staff, but because even cockroaches have standards.||||This place had no cockroaches (that I know of) but it just felt...dirty. The walls were not painted, gouges everywhere, and the most modern piece of furniture? The sink cabinet-thing in the bathroom. ||||The night stand drawer looked like a goat exploded in there and the bed was manufactured -I suspect- sometime during the Roosevelt administration. The TEDDY Roosevelt administration. ||||A framed mirror was on the floor, leaning against the wall. Great for leprechauns and gremlins on-the-go, but I'm 6'3"...||||Another odd thing...I'm convinced the building was a former nursing home, small hospital, or -more likely- a mental health facility. The hallways were twice as wide as you normally see in a motel and it had that creepy echo thing going on. I half expected Michael from the Halloween franchise to make an appearance.||||I spent a grand total of 2 nights there; mostly because I was too tired after a 12 hour shift to change hotels. Just do yourself a favor and stay...
