I'm honestly going to be as professional as possible in my experience regardless of anybody else's opinion I grew up in Fairfax and went through this court house while I was young, I almost worked for the ADC they offered me a job for 17/hour back in 2022 I denied it (you can apply on indeed just to let you know) just because i didn't feel suited for it they'll interview you and let you walk around , in my case i just picked up some lesser chargers from metro transit police I filed a suit for malicious prosecution
my lawyers were disbarred a Mr.Fred w. Young, and a Mr.Kosa So across the street. Fred wasn't the best attorney, he isn't even allowed to practice in the state of Maryland that information is public, so I filed a motion to sub counsel, him being just that. I then picked up Kosa so, and I was ready to pleade not guilty on all charges there being a camera on the Metro cops chest or "eyewitness". I happily completed a magistrate ordered wellness check at the CSB for the exact same charges but the reasoning was for some unrelated things that I had "Nolle prosequi", my new counselor, Kosa so, asked me to negotiate i said "No." And then he proceeded to file an NGRI (asking me to admit guilt but being incompetent at the time) for 5 months and 28 days after my indictment(amendment 6 speedy trial). I then filed a motion to sub again that being crazy it's is the irony the judges who I'll come back with names denied this motion and looked at my lawsuit like it was a joke but didn't deny that, I'll just take it to trial or circuit court because I'm smart enough you have to let other people see these things instead of one justice sometimes. My case still isn't resolved I'll get it there I'm looking to pursue a career in law because its easy
but moral of the story: make sure your case gets resolved before the 5 months(6A) and that they protect your rights to cross examine your accuser a lawyer is only a formality and sometimes you can represent yourself if you know what your doing I'm going to wait until 5 months to file an additional motion to avoid a unnecessary court fee to advance for the 6A because after that they are required to dismiss charges 🔸Everybody can sue this courthouse for a minimum sum of 500 for denying a speedy trial 100/month is realistic OR you're mandated to subject to dismissal
The party I'm suing never showed up but another justice went out her way to deny any further motion
And that's coming from me knowing the first paragraph this is just advice like others have said here these people hate their jobs probably and thats nobody else's problem, I'm hardworking and said this is easy the courthouse may be mad about something like being able to submit a review in today's time which is ridiculous
That's my ID in the officers hand I offered it first this is officer 409 with wmatapd
Unprofessionally the way these people in this courthouse work you probably need to be 7'8" and wide to speak to anybody there even if you didn't...

The system here is designed to take advantage of folks and get as much money from you as possible.
A $30 ticket for not “completely” stopping at a stop sign cost me $102.50
• $30 for the violation • $67 PROCESSING FEE • $5.00 public garage parking (they won’t validate)
My ticket apparently wasn’t even in the system!!! Apparently officers have 1 year from the date of issuing the ticket to put it in the system (what!?). But I was given a court date for Friday. If I didn’t show up to court on Friday (I’m out of town for work) I’d be fined. So now without any ticket in the system I was given the choice of 1. The clerk putting the ticket in the system and paying the $97 (more than twice the $30 ticket cost) or 2. Waiting to see if the cop showed up to court on Friday (when I can’t be there) incurring another fine for not showing up and then going through the process of filing motions (which I’m sure has yet another hefty price tag) to state my case that I couldn’t prepay.
GARAGE: I paid the $2.50 for the 10 mins I was parked in the garage. I got a work call so instead of driving and talking, I sat and took the call in my car. When I went to leave the on-call attendant would not let me out of the garage because I waited over 15 mins to leave the garage?!! So she charged me another $2.50.
This is a highly unfair system that is designed to prey on folks fear. THIS PREDATORY SYSTEM DOES NOT SERVE FFX COUNTY - it only serves itself. Everything favors the officers and court system and is designed to leach money from the citizens of Fairfax county (apparently one of the richest in the state).
Only positive was the clerk was very polite and agreed that the system sucks.
Whole experience has really depleted my trust in the County Court system and I’m grossed out.
Note I’d also have to pay to file a motion to delay my traffic court date so I decided against that.
TLDR: FFX county traffic division just...
Read moreI went here to file a small claims case on Oct 29 and was met with hostility, and inconsistent service from the clerk.
After filing my paperwork and while talking to the clerk, I mentioned that I wanted to name a person for my case. She proceeded to respond with "You want to name someone, you?" She was stiff, and incredibly serious throughout our entire interaction. I'm not sure why.
She told me that the office closes at 4PM and I didn't have time to fill in the last page which would have taken me a couple minutes at maximum.
I accepted and paid. However, when the individual behind me in line asked her for more time to complete his paperwork, she told him "it's fine, just do it" in clear earshot of me. Everyone in that room knew what was happening.
The second clerk in the room then proceeded to offer 5 more minutes to another gentlemen that was sitting on a table behind me to add further insult. So, two people behind me were allocated more time to complete their paperwork while I was stiffed.
I'm not sure what motivated both of their behavior towards me. I had not interacted with the second clerk at all. I think she just wanted to kick someone while they were down.
Throughout my brief interaction with the clerk I had filed my paperwork through, I did notice significant hostilities. She was staring me down while I was filing my paperwork.
When I contacted the admin via email, they just proceeded to tell me that the court "provides quality customer service to all litigants" and told me that I was unclear in my email as to what happened. What was unclear?
I think it's obvious that they wanted to just sweep this event under the rug. I doubt the clerk's behavior towards me is in any...
